    Default Defense Secretary

    Pete Hegseth

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/202...etary-defense/

I am honored to announce that I have nominated Pete Hegseth to serve in my Cabinet as The Secretary of Defense. Pete has spent his entire life as a Warrior for the Troops, and for the Country.

Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First. With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice – Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down. Pete is a graduate of Princeton University, and has a Graduate Degree from Harvard University. He is an Army Combat Veteran who did tours in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

For his actions on the battlefield, he was decorated with two Bronze Stars, as well as a Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Pete has been a host at FOX News for eight years, where he used that platform to fight for our Military and Veterans. Pete’s recent book, “The War on Warriors,” spent nine weeks on the New York Times best-sellers list, including two weeks at NUMBER ONE.

The book reveals the leftwing betrayal of our Warriors, and how we must return our Military to meritocracy, lethality, accountability, and excellence. Pete has also led two Veterans Advocacy organizations, leading the fight for our Warriors, and our great Veterans. Nobody fights harder for the Troops, and Pete will be a courageous and patriotic champion of our “Peace through Strength” policy.”

This guy was unknown to me until today, but that's a pretty great resume! And the fact that he's been railing against the woke infection of our military is just what's needed.

This is the guy that needs to recall Milley and have him court martialled. That event absolutely has to happen.

Vindmann too, but I'll admit that I'm wanting that purely for revenge reasons. Still, he was in uniform and betrayed his CinC for purely political reasons and lied about it too.

Wouldn't experience in logistics on a major scale be higher on the requirement list than anti-woke?

    I'm not so sure.

Peter Brian Hegseth (born June 6, 1980) is an American television presenter, author, and Army National Guard officer who is to be the nominee for United States Secretary of Defense in Donald Trump's second cabinet.[1][2] A political commentator for Fox News since 2014 and co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend from 2017 to 2024,[3][4] he was previously the executive director of Vets for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America.
Under-secretary for anti-woke would be better IMO.

    You need to look deeper.

A Major as SecDef isn't going to cut it. I'm fine if he can get rid of all Austin's woke BS. He has zero experience at anything higher than battalion level. If he ever served at a Headquarters above Battalion, he chased coffee for Colonels.

You didn't provide me with anything that would alter my opinion. Did you notice where I told you in the past week where I voted for the buffoon? I'm not here to be a mindless cheerleader for questionable decisions.

But you're also not here offering solutions. You're just doing your usual poo poo to everything that is being done.

I would have respected you more if you had not voted for someone you so obviously despise.

So you have zero respect for the millions who voted for someone that they so obviously despise? That's rather short sighted considering that they are the reason that he won. I can easily hold my nose when I pull the lever while at the same time being ready to argue for conservative policies and against counterproductive choices. I really don't think you're capable of not drinking the kool-aid on all things trump.

Exit polls didn't ask the right question because current occupiers of the Republican party couldn't handle the answer. This election is a referendum against the Dems. In case no one remembers 2020, when this clown show falls on its face, we'll be looking at worse than Harris.

I happen to like Pete Hegseth. No offense to him, nor any politics involved in my stating he is underqualified for the job. Not to mention putting himself in "yes man" position. Like the rest.

I'm perfectly capable of seeing who he is. If you didn't vote for him because of who he is and the fact that he's there to disrupt everything then you have not been paying attention.

Yeah but to be fair he wasn't given much choice.
