    Default Paleo Type Diet

So my new doctor put me on a diet. No grains, no gluten, no dairy and no refined sugar.

I know that sounds horrible but I resolved myself to abide by the diet.

It's been 13 weeks. The only times I know I cheated on it was when I had butter 2 or 3 times.

I am honestly enjoying food now more than I ever did. I never ate food because I liked it. I only ate to keep going. I am actually enjoying food now which I found really surprising. My wife has spent dozens of hours looking for recipes that I will eat and hopefully enjoy. We're eating mostly organic now. Lot's of fruit and vegetables. I can have all the protein I want. When we go out to eat I have steak and eggs with sweet potato fries plus a bowl of fruit.

I've lost 15+ lbs which was not the actual goal for the doctor but we will take it. My blood sugar is dropping. My blood pressure is down and I do just feel generally better. I really do miss just grabbing a burger and fries or burrito but we work around that pretty well. My wife has been amazing.

Anyone else been on or currently on a paleo type diet? Have you found any recipes you really like?

I can have the burger meat but not the bread. It's just not the same without a hamburger bun. My wife is working on a bun substitute.

Weird enough, tonight I was looking at instapot recipes and many of them are paleo. Here's a couple links:
