Well, I'm glad to hear that.
But It seems to me you think you know better.
Because the OFFICIAL Recommendations are as follow.

    https://www.cdc.gov/ncird/whats-new/...us-season.html
Which vaccines for respiratory illnesses are recommended for me?
CDC recommends the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for everyone 6 months and older. This includes people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine before and people who have had COVID-19. It is especially important for the following groups to get the 2024–2025 COVID-19 vaccine:

•People ages 65 years and older
•People with underlying medical conditions, including immunocompromise
•People living in long-term care facilities
•Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or might become pregnant in the future to protect themselves and their infants

An annual flu vaccine, which protects against the three influenza viruses expected to spread this season, is recommended for everyone 6 months and older. If you are at higher risk of developing serious flu complications, flu vaccination is especially important. By getting a flu vaccine you reduce your risk of getting sick with flu, being hospitalized or dying from flu. A flu shot during pregnancy can also protect both a pregnant woman and baby for about 6 months after birth. And people with a history of heart disease who got the flu shot are less likely to have a serious cardiac outcome than those who haven't gotten a flu shot.

The recommendations for RSV are a bit different since immunization is only recommended for the very young and older adults, which are the populations most likely to develop severe RSV. CDC recommends protecting babies younger than 8 months against severe RSV in one of two ways: through vaccination of a pregnant woman (with Pfizer's Abrysvo) at weeks 32-36 of pregnancy or by the baby getting the antibody nirsevimab at birth or just before the RSV season. Nirsevimab is also recommended for some younger children between ages 8 and 19 months who are at increased risk for RSV disease.

CDC recommends a single dose of the RSV vaccine for all adults ages 75 and older and for adults ages 60 to 74 who are at increased risk of severe RSV disease. If you received an RSV vaccine last year, you do not need another vaccine.

all due respect to your "prayers" but the CDC & DOCTORS say you should be taking a boat load of vaccines
    to protect yourself ...and grandma.
You may be civilian like the rest of now but I thought you still were a team player... that you undestood moving with the orders from above for the good of the mission etc..

but here you're making your own dicisions about vaccines based on your personal ideas about the danger level.
Look youre free to do whatever you want with info from where-ever about vitamins & prayers but the official peer reviewed medical recommendations are for vaccines. otherwise known as REAL Science.
Seems you've been influenced by all the baseless fear-mongering about vaccines.

    interesting "Old" news 2020
    https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/fo...er-found-dead/
Founder of vaccine safety website, ex-pharma insider found dead

'If something were to happen to me,' Brandy Vaughan wrote in late 2019, 'it’s foul play and you know exactly who and why.'
    .

    .
December 15, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Brandy Vaughan, a former sales executive for the pharmaceutical company Merck and the founder of learntherisk.org, a website dedicated to educating people on the risks associated with vaccines, was apparently found dead by her nine-year-old son on December 8.

According to Children’s Health Defense, Vaughan is reported to have died of “gallbladder complications,” although the source of the report has not been cited, nor has it shared the specific cause of the complications (such as a gallbladder rupture).

Soon after learning of her death, a friend of Vaughn’s, Erin Elizabeth, shared screenshots of a Facebook post Vaughan had written in December of 2019, in which she assured readers that she was not suicidal and did not take any drugs that would cause her to die suddenly.

Referring to her son, Vaughan wrote, “Bastien means everything to me and I would NEVER leave him. Period. She added that she hadn’t taken pharmaceuticals for ten years. “In other words, I’m not on anything that could kill me unexpectedly or suddenly,” she wrote.

“If something were to happen to me, it’s foul play and you know exactly who and why — given my work and mission in this life,” she continued.

Vaccine safety has come under scrutiny during the coronavirus outbreak, with pro-lifers expressing concern about the connection of vaccines to abortion, among other concerns.

Elizabeth also shared a screenshot of a text she received from Vaughan in which she expressed worry about being poisoned and apparently referenced the death of Dr. Ben Johnson, M.D., D.O., NMD in January of 2019.

“So odd! I worry sometimes about poisoning. Was Dr. Ben ever married? Lived alone? Sorry for all the questions. I’m just so upset about this, especially since he wasn’t even taking on the vaccine issue but mammograms, which one would think was a ‘safer’ issue.”

    ...
Vaughan, who used to work as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Merck, explained how she got started as an activist exposing the dangers of vaccines and pharmaceutical industry in a video shared in 2015. She begins by revealing that she used to represent Merck’s drug Vioxx.

“When it came out that Merck had falsified safety data and Vioxx actually had twice the increase in heart attacks and strokes [for] people taking it, it really made me realize that there was a lot of corruption behind the scenes and that just because a drug is on the market doesn't mean it's safe,” Vaughan said in the video.

She explained how later, during a wellness visit for her son, a doctor “stormed out of the room” when she asked to see a vaccine insert.

“That was a huge red flag for me, knowing what I knew from being a pharmaceutical sales rep before. And I started to do my research into vaccines and the ingredients and the flawed safety data.”

Part of what she discovered is that aluminum is a major adjuvant in vaccines, which was another big “red flag” for her. When her grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer, the doctor found high levels of aluminum in her tissues. He told her that the aluminum found in traditional deodorant was linked to breast cancer.

“The more I dug into this, what I realized was vaccines are not for public health. It’s really about pharmaceutical company profit. It’s basically playing Russian Roulette with our children,” continued Vaughan.

ARVE Error: The [[arve]] shortcode needs one of this attributes av1mp4, mp4, m4v, webm, ogv, url
“I really got motivated to get more into this fight when I realized the mandatory vaccination bills that were sweeping the country[.]”

Vaughan went on to found Learn The Risk, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, “in response to one of the nation’s first mandatory vaccination for education laws — SB277 in California,” according to her website. SB277, which was signed into law in 2015, “barred parents from citing their personal beliefs as a reason for not vaccinating their children” for school.

It was when Vaughan returned from a rally protesting SB277 in Sacramento that she first began to experience acts of intimidation, she explained in a video shared in 2015.

She described how she came home from Sacramento to find a key to her house, which she had previously hidden in her bushes, out on her doorstep. “That day I had my locks changed and I installed a $3,000 alarm system two days later,” said Vaughan.

She was later informed by her alarm company that someone had set off her alarm at 3:45 in the morning and immediately disarmed it with the master code, which Vaughan said no one had but her. Whoever entered proceeded to walk down her hallway, setting off the monitor sensor, and opened and shut her dining room window before leaving the house at 3:49 a.m.

“After the incident I talked to some security experts who have actually done intimidation for corporations, and they said, they were probably tapping your place.”

Vaughan described how only days later, she found her computer moved from its hiding place above her microwave to the middle of her kitchen floor. After leaving town for a couple of weeks, she returned with a friend to find her ladder, which she had kept in her garage, just outside a bedroom window of her house — the only window with the blinds kept open. A neighbor informed her that she hadn’t seen the ladder there the day before.

Only days after that, she found a duck figurine on one of her outdoor tables. “When I talked to the security experts, I said, I don’t understand the duck. And then it came to me that I had been on my phone having a lot of conversations [with] people asking me, are you staying at your house? What are you going to do? And I use the term repeatedly: I’m not staying at my house. I feel like a sitting duck, because they can get in at any time.”

“So that was actually quite disturbing to come home to. It’s just a clear message that, again, they are watching me.”

“It’s quite scary. After all these intimidation tactics it's very hard to feel safe and secure, but I am not gonna go away — I mean I’m not gonna be silenced, because these are important issues, and we need to expose what’s really going on behind the mandatory vaccination bills.”....

You're mixing a lot of disjointed stuff to come to your conclusion.

Currently, my decisions affect only me. When they affect others, I take that into consideration. If it was 2021 all over again, knowing what we knew then and being in the position I was in then, I'd get the vaccination again. The potential of affecting those around me at the time was unknown. Now it is. Things change.

Just like I am no longer on active duty. If I was on active duty, I'd have gotten the immunization per orders. The risk of harm from COVID at the time far outweighed any onesy-twosy adverse affects. You never seem to acknowledge the fact that at the time, COVID was dropping people dead in droves. Politics flip-flopping and conspiracy theories doesn't change the real facts, then or now.

I am FAR more offended that you called me a civilian than the fact you think you are somehow singled out to have the insider scoop on covid/vaccine that no one else does

look gunny, I'm just pointing out the official science & medical recommendations given to every American by the all wise & infallible CDC. Which all good "team playing" Americans should OBEY. these are called "memes" so they can be ignored completely I've been told.
    nothing to see here.
except the CHART! Charts are good.
that's not a meme. so take that seriously. unless you dont agree with it. then come up with reasons to dismiss it completely as evidence of anything to consider.

One is not required to follow recommendations. My immunizations are up to date except for a virus that's out of date. And anthrax since I'm not deployed where its use was threatened. Simple enough.

One thing we will probably agree upon at least somewhat is I discovered when I retired that civilian doctors are prone to pushing whatever meds they get a deal on to push. I do my homework before I make up my shit.

Lastly, I am a member of the Fleet Marine Force, Reserve until I drop dead. STILL a Marine. YOU are a civilian. That's why you're always wrong

    Here's a study of the FLU shots/"vaccines"

    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32120383/

    Epub 2020 Mar 3.
The Effect of Influenza Vaccination for the Elderly on Hospitalization and Mortality: An Observational Study With a Regression Discontinuity Design

    ...
Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the influenza vaccine in reducing hospitalizations and mortality among elderly persons by using an observational research design that reduces the possibility of bias and confounding.

Results: The data included 170 million episodes of care and 7.6 million deaths. Turning 65 was associated with a statistically and clinically significant increase in rate of seasonal influenza vaccination. However, no evidence indicated that vaccination reduced hospitalizations or mortality among elderly persons. The estimates were precise enough to rule out results from many previous studies.

Limitation: The study relied on observational data, and its focus was limited to individuals near age 65 years.

Conclusion: Current vaccination strategies prioritizing elderly persons may be less effective than believed at reducing serious morbidity and mortality in this population, which suggests that supplementary strategies may be necessary.

Primary funding source: National Institute on Aging....

of course this Doesn't mean that EVERY kind of vaccine is useless.
    As the thread title ask.
what are risk and benefits of each.
Just because something is called a "vaccine" doesn't mean it should get the benefit of the doubt.

    Concerning the Flu shots

Here's a study 2005 saying the same as the previous post

Reported on by CBS at the time.

And here's a News report from Roger Mudd in the 1970s reporting on the same thing then.
the "Ineffectiveness" of the flu vaccines.

Default Vaccination and Neurodevelopmental Disorders: A Study of Nine-Year-Old Children

    https://publichealthpolicyjournal.co...d-in-medicaid/

"Vaccinated children have a 170% higher chance of being diagnosed with autism, according to a new peer-reviewed study.
The study also found that vaccinated children had a 212% greater likelihood of developing a range of neurodevelopmental disorders."

Vaccination and Neurodevelopmental Disorders: A Study of Nine-Year-Old Children Enrolled in Medicaid

    Abstract

Background: Vaccinations required for school attendance have increased nearly threefold since the 1950s, now targeting 17 infectious diseases. However, the impact of the expanded schedule on children’s overall health remains uncertain. Preliminary studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated children have reported that the vaccinated are significantly more likely than the unvaccinated to be diagnosed with bacterial infections, allergies, and neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). The objective of this study was to determine the association between vaccination and NDDs in 9-year-old children enrolled in the Medicaid program. The specific aims were to test the hypothesis that: 1) vaccination is associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other NDDs; 2) preterm birth coupled with vaccination increases the odds of NDDs compared to preterm birth without vaccination; and 3) increasing numbers of vaccinations are associated with increased risks of ASD.

Methods: The study population comprised children born and continuously enrolled in the Florida State Medicaid program from birth to age 9. Vaccination uptake was measured by numbers of healthcare visits that included vaccination-related procedures and diagnoses. Cross-sectional analyses were performed to calculate prevalence odds ratios (Aims 1-2). A retrospective cohort design was used to compute relative risks specifically of ASD (Aim 3).

Results: The analysis of claims data for 47,155 nine-year-old children revealed that: 1) vaccination was associated with significantly increased odds for all measured NDDs; 2) among children born preterm and vaccinated, 39.9% were diagnosed with at least one NDD compared to 15.7% among those born preterm and unvaccinated (OR 3.58, 95% CI: 2.80, 4.57); and 3) the relative risk of ASD increased according to the number of visits that included vaccinations. Children with just one vaccination visit were 1.7 times more likely to have been diagnosed with ASD than the unvaccinated (95% CI: 1.21, 2.35) whereas those with 11 or more visits were 4.4 times more likely to have been diagnosed with ASD than those with no visit for vaccination (95% CI: 2.85, 6.84).

Conclusions: These results suggest that the current vaccination schedule may be contributing to multiple forms of NDD; that vaccination coupled with preterm birth was strongly associated with increased odds of NDDs compared to preterm birth in the absence of vaccination; and increasing numbers of visits that included vaccinations were associated with increased risks of ASD....

    Conclusion:
The study strongly supports that MMR vaccination does not increase the risk for autism, does not trigger autism in susceptible children, and is not associated with clustering of autism cases after vaccination. It adds to previous studies through significant additional statistical power and by addressing hypotheses of susceptible subgroups and clustering of cases.

But the one you presented appears to have some issues. One example.

    7. Research Design Issues
The research design itself appears engineered to find associations rather than test hypotheses objectively. Without proper control groups, randomization (where feasible), or adjustments for diagnostic changes over time, the design lacks basic elements necessary for valid inference. The poor definition of study periods and inadequate follow-up procedures suggest a concerning pattern: methodological choices that systematically bias toward finding associations without regard for scientific rigor.

    so Why'd they exclude 953?
to take your tack in reviewing studies "problems" i have to assume there must be some agenda here. political most likely.
At the very least the study is an incomplete meta analysis sine they excluded so many.
Which clearly makes the conclusions suspect.
therefore I can acknowledge the fact that it is in fact "a study" but ignore it until they include all other 953 or are 100% transparent as to why each of the 953 were excluded.

I think i've presented maybe 1000 in just one post the other day.
Add to that the others in this thread alone I wont even count.
But hey, i'm sure ALL of my studies have some issues that make them completely useless or wrong.
    And yours have none.
    I see.

They're good because they're not bad.

You're not taking my tack at all, you're just being daft and grasping at straws. They didn't meet inclusion criteria for some reason. Anything specific in there that gives you pause or you'll just demand they add 953 more studies for no reason at all?

You presented one in the post I referenced; you're smoking gun that was a bit less than smoking. BTW, I looked at your post that referenced 1600 studies and followed the link and didn't see 1600 studies; I may have missed it.

Why Japan banned MMR vaccine | Daily Mail Online

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...R-vaccine.html
Japan banned the Combined MMR vaccine in 1993 because of to many adverse reactions.
Instead of the MMR they use individual versions of measles mumps & Rubella vaccines.

Choices come in all shapes & sizes.
