West Florida panhandle. The Pensacola area. Not too far from AL, but a different state.

I actually know the area fairly well. We lived in gulf breeze for a short time. I have heard the panhandle called lower Alabama because they say it's more like Alabama than say Miami

There's a World of difference between the panhandle and Miami I lived in Miami for about 8 years and Key West for a couple more when I was a kid. Parents moved to Jax when I was in boot camp. Never lived there, but used to go on leave to visit.

Father moved from Huntsville to Navarre when he retired from the SES. Never lived there either.

I've been told I wouldn't even recognize S Florida anymore. Haven't been in trouble with the law since I left there and not in a hurry to test that theory
