When I read he resigned, I thought, "Maybe we'll get lucky and he will not get confirmed." Hey, perhaps Trump is a genius! Now, do the same to Taylor-Greene and the other one.

I was gonna post a thread in conspiracy theories saying trump has no intention of having Gaetz be AG.

I didn't see this coming. Gaetz never crossed my mind at all.

But if anyone is motivated to dismantle the DOJ lawfare machine, it's him. Burn that fucker to the ground and rebuild it with proper oversight this time.

Innovative disruption. He's good at that.

Don't leave out Gabbard. I like her just fine. Popping up on news talk shows. She is not qualified for the position. She's a conspiracy theorist and Russia apologist. Intelligence agencies have to operate on fact, not fiction.

While fun to say, it can't be burned down to the ground. Cleaned out I agree with. I see neither happening him Gaetz. All he has been capable of so far is self-aggrandizing and chaos. That accomplishes nothing.

Not sure what's on anyone's minds, but we all have to face the consequences of this election in 2028. What they do now matters.

My problem with this whole 4-D chess theory is that it's totally unnecessary. We had as close to party unity between the incoming administration and the House and Senate Republicans as there's been in years. There will be hard feelings now, regardless of how this nomination ends up, which didn't have to happen.

My biggest regret with this pick is that we're now committed to wasting at least three months before getting someone in the DOJ to begin the clean up that's so desperately needed. That's three months we really don't have to waste.
    Yep.

Now that he resigned, the sex probe goes away.

The House investigation goes away. The evidence does not. Some Senators have already stated the DOJ investigation and House investigation comes with him. They would be derelict in their duty to not include it.

I'm assuming it will. I don't see Trump withdrawing names. I see him pressuring for confirmation with his usual theatrics when anyone questions him.

That's the other possibility. We are in for a show if you're right.
