Let me tell you a story about a girl I went to high school with who graduated with a 3.8 GPA. She was very pretty and easily one of the dumbest people I've ever known, basically the typical head cheerleader stereotype. But, with those male teachers, all she had to do was show off a little cleavage and pout over her grades and she'd get her A. Also, her daddy was the richest dentist in town and a "primary contributor" to the school. Sure that had nothing to do with it. Oh, and she got a 650 on her SAT's and yet still got into Clemson, which I'm sure had nothing to do with the fact that daddy was an alumni who donated greatly to the school. That situation has me thoroughly convinced that GPA doesn't tell you how smart someone is, just how well they can play the system in their favor.
Aaaaand, having said all that, I think in this girl's case (Miss SC), a lot of it was nerves. Not all of it, but I don't think she always thinks/talks the way she did in that one moment. The more I think about it, the more sorry I feel for her. Then again, I've seen her face and name a whole lot more over the past 2 days than I've seen the winner's!

I still think that even if she didn't understand the question, to stand up there and ramble off that totally incoherent line of absolute babble while LISTENING to herself SAY it... she just can't be very bright.
She doesn't need slack... that won't teach her anything. She needs further education in comprehension.
Nonetheless - she is HOT!
“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

Good Lord she's hot. Remember - it's MUCH easier to make a hot woman smart, than a smart woman hot.
