One campaigned as the "kinder and gentler" candidate and promised emphatically "No New Taxes". The other campaigned as the "compassionate conservative".

The former has been proven a compulsive and pathological liar and the latter has been proven an egotistical chickenhawk with no consideration whatsoever for the plights of his own countrymen much less the plights of the world at large.

Now, who are we to believe in this election from our field of so called conservatives? One thing is for sure. The conservatives will have to cover a lot of ground if they are ever to be taken seriously again as leaders of the free world.

How much more "kinder and gentler" or "compassionate as a conservative" or averse to taxation without representation does a modern day conservative have to be to win a national election? So far, not one presents the American ideals that will be required to succeed in any national election.

2008 will be a watershed year for Democrats. And I suspect that observation to be correct for many years to come. Americans truly want a kinder, gentler, compassionate and frugal president. There is not one to be found in the Republican Party.

You ought to stick to that silly, redneck, dirt racing and singing the blues, you don't know shit about politics or history. How naive does one have to be to think that Democrats could possibly be good for this country? You must be looking for more woes to sing about..... the blues...... who could possibly give a shit.:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

Are you attempting a personal attack or are you taking an oral shit?

Liberalism stands for all things good in the American version of Democracy and personal freedoms. Why do you hate our freedom and liberty so much, zorro?

so they are going to turn to the power crazed, angry, dishonest b**** who wants to spend more of your tax money on making people dependant on government than ever before?

The problem with the Democrats who complain about Republican problems is they nominate Democrats who have those same problems times 100.

Just about every Republican running is 100 times more qualified and less corrupt than the Democrat side.

liberalism doesn't mean what it used to mean. It used to stand for freedom. But the liberal terminology was highjacked by socialists decades ago. All socialism is slavery. Why do you want to enslave people to the government so much?

You are all dependent on the government. Without the governmetn erected roads and bridges you would have no job. Without govenrment fire protection you would be in danger daily. Without the government provided police you would have a terrified family. Without government schools most Americans would not be educated.Without the exsisting government assitance programs the country would have millions of starving ,sick desperate people lying in the streets.

We are all dependent on the government. The government IS US! We are all dependent on each other just like Jesus preached to you all. Why do you refuse to listen to your own religious teachings?

That is crazy Pschyo. Judging about half of this nation on two people you don't like. You can even say this about all the conservative politicians if you like but it is still crazy to judge half of this nation on any of them. Our politicians whether they are conservative or liberal are NOTHING to look up to.

I consider myself conservative in many things and it doesn't bother me one bit to say so, but Neither one of the Bushes represent me. So judge me based on them all you want, but then I will judge you on Hillary and Teddy. That makes you a socialist and socialism represents governmental enslavement to me. If that is what you want to be known as... more power to you.

You are all dependent on the government. Not really. We'd all be here if there were no government--at least many of us would be here. There'd be no government without us though--the government is dependent upon us.

Without the governmetn erected roads and bridges you would have no job.I'd have a job. I might even have a different job--building roads.

Without govenrment fire protection you would be in danger daily.Doubt it. I don't have government fire protection now.

Without the government provided police you would have a terrified family.Since the police are not legally obligated to protect, no-one has police protection. In the current climate, where the police enjoy an unjustified entitlement to abuse of authority and excessive force, my family is a bit more terrified by them, and the government that "provides" them, than they ought to be.

Without government schools most Americans would not be educated.LOLsome. Private shcools, and home schools are where Americans are getting the best educations. These government indoctrination centers you're so proud of are self adimittedly failing to educate.

Without the exsisting government assitance programs the country would have millions of starving ,sick desperate people lying in the streets. The millions of millions of starving, sick desperate people lying in the streets are a testament to the failure of the exsisting government assitance programs you're talking about. I'd argue that by and large all that suffering is the result of those exact government assitance programs.

We are all dependent on the government.I doubt that.

The government IS US!Allegedly.

We are all dependent on each other just like Jesus preached to you all.I'm not so sure Jesus preached that--rather, we are dependent upon Him.

Why do you refuse to listen to your own religious teachings? I think your problem is more with people refusing to listen to you--what do you think? ;)

Also keep in mind the last two Republican were related to each other. Perhaps if we have another person thats not related to the previous two we might see some major differences.

It's always a hoot to hear some desperate liberal try the "If govt didn't do it no one would" canard. You have to feel sorry for these poor people who believe that government knows all, gives all, and takes all. How pathetic must their lives be, who are so totally dependent on faceless, uninterested bureaucrats for the very breath of life?

No wonder they're always so angry. :coffee:

I am always wondering why they are so angry and negative. Maybe you are on to something, Acorn.
