When I was 12 years old and searching for my musical tastes and direction, I came across an album that changed my life forever. The album was "Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette. The songs taught me that women have a voice and can use it to their advantage.
Alanis remains one of my all-time favorite artists. She just released a new album called "Havoc and Bright Lights." It is fairly sedate compared to JLP, but still a classic.

I remember driving to a Concert in Memphis , mid-summer with a drop dead gorgeous new girlfriend when she reached over to change the radio station and landed next station right as that song came into play on a Rock station. We both first heard it and loved it right then and there. She declared it our song, a wild wench with a spirit and body to match. We thought we would last forever! Reality is that it last hard and heavy for about 9 weeks. When at that age nine weeks seemed like two years! Young, wild and dumb I call it. I should have held onto that girl! I like a damn fool blew up a small disagreement we had and dropped her. Later when I realized my stupidity , asked her back, she had too much class and brains to come back to me. My loss was surely her gain. I was just too damn wild back then! Met my first wife about 2 months later. -TZS

I stumbled across these guys quite by accident, I was cruising YouTube looking for some other country band, can't remember who... What's that tell you? Anyway, I listened to a few of their songs and really dig them. Reckless Kelly are out of Texas and definitely going on my playlist.

I've discovered that, as I get older, I have a greater appreciation for country music, a genre I pretty much ignored in my youth, preferring instead to Rock and Roll...
