I heard it was a more limited permission than carte blanche.
Don't feel like looking it up. :embarrassed:

Don't feel like looking it up. :embarrassed:Nothing is ever cut and dried. Fact is, HIMARS is a tactical weapon, not strategic, with a range of about 200 miles. It's an awesome defensive weapon. What Ukraine can effectively hit with them would be military bases, supplies and staging areas for troops. It DOES extend their tactical range.
Ukraine has already been hitting strategic targets way beyond HIMARS range with domestically-produced drones.
The only effective word in play here is "American-made". The conjecture on its limitations is that Ukraine can use it in Kursk. They can already use it in Ukraine. They would need a different weapon to strike deeper into Russia.
The Russians are crying like babies as usual. They've got American politics down pat. Whatever they do is okay, but everyone else has separate rules. HIMARS is an escalation but 10k N Korean troops aren't:rolleyes:

just as a matter of common sense.
If 1 nation gives a 2nd nation "permission" to fire missiles at a 3rd nation.
Wouldn't that mean that the permission giving nation is the BOSS/LEADER and is aggressively at war with the 3rd nation?
Can someone correct my flawed POV here?
How should we, as good Americans and the world, view this correctly?

This leads to my question I've been thinking of the last few days. Actually two questions.
1. Are we neutral in this war between Ukraine and Russia?
2. Were we neutral in 1940-41 pre Pearl Harbor?

No. We should bury our heads up our asses and pretend Russia is not the aggressor and let good people who want freedom be enslaved because we're a bunch of weak, selfish pussies:rolleyes:
You are wrong every time to waste your breath attempting to sell Russia as the victim and Ukraine as bad guys. You are wrong every time you try to argue it's not the business of good men to stop bad ones. You are wrong every time you think freedom is just for you, as you define it.

Correction: the weapon in question and I describe above is ATACMS, not HIMARS. Bad day at the dentist :)

You enjoyed the nitris. And don't pretend otherwise.

My one and only experience with anesthesia was ALL bad. I'll have to be just as close to death to get put under again. I get novocaine and ibuprofen. How was I supposed to know there was a part 2 to a root canal? The shitty part? I thought I was in for a crown.

So what we really should see is:
Russia, for no reason at all, except glory & imperialist dreams, invaded the peaceful, innocent & pure democracy of Ukraine.
Ukraine asked for help from NATO & the USA in terms of weapons and funds to repel this evil. And we righteously came to their aid with that.
And told them to go forth & regain their lands & freedoms. But after 1000 days of ,mostly unseen but I'm sure, bloody struggle they've yet to do it. So now, as a cowardly leader in the US arises to try & end the conflict by peace & weak appeasing compromise, Biden the Brave has granted Ukraine permission to strike into the heart of the evil Russian empire itself.
Because attacking the Russian home land and people will bring Ukraine real & lasting victory in short order. Russia will be forced by these attacks to loose it's wicked hold and retreat from the FREE LANDS of Ukraine forever.
Is this what anyone with balls should think is happening gunny?
