Unfortunately, that's enough votes in both chambers, assuming Republicans keep the House, to keep everything at current standstill. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of doing away with the filibuster:rolleyes:

New Congress includes fewer Republican Trump critics (https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4981775-trump-republican-critics-congress/)

whatever the numbers if it's ever a time to fight for it it's now.
before people start talking about civil war again
and crying about not having the house or senate or CIC.
work with what you got.
there are solid players on the field ready for key positions

Want to see these same voters turn as quickly against the GOP as they turned to it in 4 years? Don't deliver. Especially because a handful of idiots can't play team ball.

More power to them if trump goes full populist but I imagine there will be enough hints of conservative for most things to pass fairly easily. I wouldn't also not be shocked if the odd Dem or two switches parties.

They've been out of power so long I forgot the rule of thumb for the "usual 10 or so" obstructionist/faux bipartisan sellout weenies. They needed 10 or so extra seats before, and they'll need them now.

Even Dem politicians who wish to further their careers hopefully see the light on immigration. Hopefully it has priority and for once they encode it in law.

I think the popular vote will go a long way.

I think the popular vote will go a long way. We'll see. Trump had the House and Senate in 2016 too. They wasted their 2 years infighting and nothing got done. I'm hoping for better this time around even if Republicans never seem to learn from previous mistakes.

Then again, depends on what's on the table :) Trump certainly has some ideas I'm on the opposite side from.
