Donald Trump’s plan to dismantle the Deep State.

1. “Immediately reissue my 2020 executive order, restoring the President's authority to remove rogue bureaucrats.”

2. “Clean out all of the corrupt actors in our national security and intelligence apparatus.”

3. “Totally reform FISA courts which are so corrupt that the judges seemingly do not care when they're lied to in warrant applications.”

4. “Expose the hoaxes and abuses of power that have been tearing our country apart.”

5. “Launch a major crackdown on government leakers who collude with the fake news to deliberately we false narratives and to subvert our government and our democracy.”

6. “Make every Inspector General's office independent and physically separated from the departments they oversee so they do not become the protectors of the deep state.”

7. “Ask Congress to establish an independent auditing system to continually monitor our intelligence agencies to ensure they are not spying on our citizens or running disinformation campaigns against the American people, or that they are not spying on someone's campaign like they spied on my campaign.”

8. “Continue the effort launched by the Trump administration to move parts of the sprawling federal bureaucracy to new locations outside the Washington Swamp.”

9. “Work to ban federal bureaucrats from taking jobs at the companies they deal with and that they regulate.”

10. “Push a constitutional amendment to oppose term limits on members of Congress.”

Seems I've seen this list before. How'd that work out? He needs to focus on what he can accomplish. He has more pressing issues on his plate than getting bogged down again in the bureaucracy that is just going to wait him out like last time.

Catch-22. Or is it biting the hand that feeds you? He wants to accomplish all these things, while shitting all over the people he needs to accomplish them.

And don't twist my words. I'm not pro bureaucracy and anybody that thinks that joined the board yesterday. Confronting it head on doesn't work. Thought he'd have learned that by now.

Because the video wasn't over long and also captioned I read/watched it. This is a very good summation-I wish more videos would have the same type of addition. Thanks!

If he could delegate and let them go, with the right people and control of both houses, he could get a lot done. Would take discipline, we'll see if he wants to be serious in outcome.

I think he's going to start with revoking security clearance for every spook who signed ofd on the laptop. Then I hope he goes after the SES (Senior Executive Services) people. They are the real subversives.

Those steps will accomplish nothing. The SES is nobody. Just another tool. If you can't take out the entire cancer, slapping at it just irritates it and makes it grow.

You are so wrong about the SES.

And ... if there's a cancerous tumor you cut it out with as much margin as possible and then hit it with up with radiation or chemo. You don't just poo poo it because it's big.

Ignoring it is how its gotten so big.

The SES is the head of the bureacracy (snakes head).

SES are all the bureaucrats that live from administration to administration. They are the cancer.

They are some of the highest paid people in civil service.

You need to quit talking down to people. I know what and who SES is. How much time again is it you have working in the Federal government in DC ? SES is part of the bureaucracy. It is not the bureaucracy.

Where do you get off saying I'm talking down to you? I have an opinion about the SES because I've talked to people in the SES and people who have retired from it. It's worse than a union. Can't get rid of anyone.

Do you think any of the spooks who signed off on Hunter Biden laptop are in the SES?

We'll see.
At least he's poised to try. which is more than most have done since JFK.
the bureaucracy & security sate has become a monster, just as Eisenhower warned. (even the Anti-Federalist papers 1770s)
It may take several president to deal with it and every subsequint one to keep it beaten back.
like i said AT LEAST he's turn to deal with the thing rather than just let it ride him/us.

But Gunny what do you think he should do as well, or instead, to deconstruct the bureaucracy?

But Gunny what do you think he should do as well, or instead, to deconstruct the bureaucracy? Simple truth: government the size of ours cannot function without bureaucracy. Everything these revolving door politicians do is supported by it.

If he wants to get rid of certain corrupt people at the top, I'm all for it. AFTER he makes good on promises he can accomplish that are going to matter 4 years from now.

Simple truth: government the size of ours...
That's the point right there isn't it?
The 1st assumption is that needs to be this size.
The conservative assumption has always been, No... at least as a political talking point since Reagan.

Do you have any suggestions on reducing the size of the bureaucracy?

Do you think any of the spooks who signed off on Hunter Biden laptop are in the SES?SES is run by OPM. You can't get rid of either and they have made sure of it, by law, when they have a friendly WH. Republicans talk shit about it, scratch out an EO, and it's thrown away rather than try to codify change via law.

The SES oversees almost all government civilian jobs in DC. If you could get rid of it you have kids running the candy store. I have unfortunately had to deal with/tolerate both. The very first scream you will hear is racism and sexism because those that aren't black men are black and white women. They not only own the place, but are supported by the elitist Dems. They'll lock his ass up in court and he'll be gone before the case is heard.

EVEN IF Trump could manage to "relocate" some of them, that's ALL he can do. Their employment is guaranteed minus a smoking gun and bloody knife. They are put on the fast track, must hire list and put into a similar job around the corner.

So, wake me up if the Republicans get 2/3s of Congress plus the extra 10 in each House they need to nullify the cross-aisle turncoats and can override the Dems no matter what. And it would STILL go through the courts before anything could happen.

Then what do you replace it with? More bureaucrats. OPM and SES perform an actual function in government. First and foremost being continuity revolving door politicians don't provide. The entire government would shut down without them.

So before anyone starts ad hoc attacking the proverbial brick wall, they might want to catch up on WTF they think they're going to replace it with.

There are a lot of civil service jobs that are redundant. The way you attack it is the same way the government does when it's trying to show it's cutting government. Audit each and every government position for efficiency and necessity and you cut the position. You're still stuck with the employees. You can either find them a new, like position or pay out their retirement. And when you get rid of one T/O line, they just call up their buddies in the good ol' boy network and find another opening. At the same time, those still there will be justifying old positions or creating new ones.

Whether or not anyone likes it, the only thing can fix DC is a bulldozer. And again, what are you going to replace it with?

Here's one idea: Get the military back to strength and put them back in the jobs it used to occupy until government shell-gamed military down-sizing by moving military out and filling the jobs with civilians. Here is one thing you get: most military personnel on 4-year posts are not bureaucrats. They don't get to homestead DC. I went straight from Headquarters, US Marine Corps to the very bottom end of the Fleet and a MEU with nothing but 30 days leave in between. You can trust when I kicked the dirt off my feet from leaving that post I didn't look back.
