Zero problem with the Sheriff enforcing the law. That's his job. Sounds like he wants some extra credit. Seems to me if he was all that sure it was an assassination attempt, $5K bail is a bit light.

This does highlight the issue that goes with preemptive arrest. The left's heads usually explode because "he didn't do anything" and "we don't know for a fact what he was going to do".

IMO, better safe than sorry.

I'm at work. I read a bit ago that he had all the firepower, false passports in various names. He claims to know nothing about guns and is a Trump fan. Oh yeah, had false plates trying to get into press entrance.
