The UN would rather be part of the problem. Usually it turns tail and runs. Not if it can interfere with Israel. Individual countries should pull their troops.

What is it this UN force is doing anyway if hundreds of rockets are fired daily into Israel? I'm kind of missing its point to being:smoke:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_abuse_by_UN_peacekeepersDamn. I did not know this. I knew they were useless, but being part of or the problem puts them in a whole different classification with me. Now I REALLY want the US out. We don't need to be part of, nor enabling this shit.

Exploitation is a way of life in a lot of 3rd World places. Seen it. We do not need to be party to importing more. While I am sure the usual exception to the rules apply, I've never seen that shit from US personnel and I would not have tolerated it for a second. They're supposed to be there to help.

Raping, sex trafficking, using UN provided foods and supplies for Hamas to black market are among the known abuses

Raping, sex trafficking, using UN provided foods and supplies for Hamas to black market are among the known abusesI have always been focused on the what they AREN'T doing aspect of the UN. I don't recall this ever being mentioned before, even in response to my continual, decades long ranting about its uselessness. Certainly the MSM isn't about covering it.

Seen the child trafficking, rape and whatever other crimes reported as asides for the MSM. Even knew that especially in Africa, local troops/militias did the crap. I've seen the aftermath of their work firsthand. Not once have I seen it tied to UN "peacekeepers". Apparently the one thing the UN is good at is covering up its dirty deeds.

Yet they have the nerve criticize Israel for defending itself. What a wonderful World:rolleyes:

It's been reported, especially local accusations. The UN reassigns the accused to other departments.

These are not nice peop

All I can say is tis not true of US military personnel as a whole. You get caught violating the law and you get shipped home and busted. And before it gets interjected, I am quite aware it was different in the past. The past isn't now, and the past is the reason for corrective action. I would not, and did not know anyone that would tolerate such bullshit. Christ, we were there to protect the people, not exploit them. I find this extremely, personally and professionally offensive.

Sexual exploitation, child abuse (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/7420798.stm), corruption and torture. These are just some of the many crimes committed by United Nations peacekeepers.
Such abuses have the potential to undermine and even delegitimise the work of the UN, yet they regularly go undetected or unpunished. A culture of impunity pervades, largely because of deficiencies in the laws governing peacekeeping operations.
UN peacekeeping troops have legal immunity from prosecution in the host state. The country that sent the troops to the host state in the first place is supposed to prosecute its soldiers for any crimes they commit there. But in practice, many don’t have the laws needed to conduct trials for acts committed abroad. Others systematically fail to uphold their obligation to prosecute. UN peacekeepers are essentially free to get away with terrible crimes because they know this jurisdictional gap provides them with impunity.

When UN peacekeepers commit atrocities, someone has to act (theconversation.com) (https://theconversation.com/when-un-peacekeepers-commit-atrocities-someone-has-to-act-34317)

Might want to put your waders on for this. It gets deep. The UN's version

“If we look at the completed missions since the end of the Cold War, two thirds of the time, peacekeepers have been successful at implementing their mandates and departing,” Professor Howard says in an interview with UN Video.
“That’s not to say that in all of those cases, everything is perfect in the countries. But it is to say that they’re no longer at war.”
“Peacekeepers reduce the likelihood that civil wars will recur,” she continues. “They also help to achieve peace agreements. Where there’s a promise of peacekeepers, we are more likely to see a peace agreement and peace agreements that stick.”

Not sure what World these people are living in, but it doesn't appear to be the same one going on around their insulated little bubble.

The bolded is just flat stupid. Again, bubble vs reality:rolleyes:
