There is a lot of chatter on Twitter/X regarding Kamala Harris' bizarre word salads.


For a long time, people have just assumed she is a moron, and I admit that this has been my working theory. She rose through the ranks of Democratic politics on the back of relationships with powerful people, implying that intelligence was not the driving force in her rise to power.


She certainly is not charismatic, regardless of what the current propaganda keeps trying to sell to us. Until the media decided that they had no choice but to back her with all their firepower, they were actually quite disgusted by her, probably because of her collapse in the Democratic race in 2019. They had been 100% behind her and she collapsed into a heap of dung in that campaign.


Now there is an alternate theory about why she is so incoherent, and once you look, you can't unsee the likelihood that it is true.




Is Kamala drunk most of the time? If you watch her talk with that possibility in mind, so much makes sense all of a sudden. All those word salads, the occasional slurring, the inappropriate laughs... These are all tells that her brain is fogged by something, and it may not be stupidity.




Don't get me wrong; she is not the sharpest tool in the shed, not playing with a full deck or knocking it out of the park when she takes an IQ test. But is she as stupid as she seems, or is she drunk?


I vote drunk.




Obviously, I don't know; it could be a Xanax addiction, and if that is the case, that would be potentially worse. Addiction to benzodiazepines would be easier to hide but harder to actually kick during a campaign. The withdrawal symptoms are famously harsh, and the period of time it takes to get better is famously long. It is a remarkably unpleasant and debilitation process and there is no way to do it while traveling the country and speaking regularly to large crowds.




But seriously, doesn't she look inebriated? She doesn't always slur her words, but when she does it is remarkably hard to unsee. What the campaign is trying to sell as "joy" looks to me like inebriation. Not falling down drunk, obviously, but not sober either.




I totally missed this until it was pointed out to me, but I think that was confirmation bias on my part. I have been seeing her up on the national stage for five years, and you assume that nobody could rise to her position without being at the very least sober when in public.


But then again, she didn't exactly rise to where she is by being especially good at politics. She was carried there by others who were pushing her up the mountain, not hiking up it by herself. Since it didn't take skill to get there, maybe even sobriety wasn't required.




Of course, the same could hold true with my new hypothesis. I could be seeing inebriation instead of stupidity because I am primed to see it. Somebody threw the hypothesis out there because it fits what we observe, and once I saw it perhaps I see every idiotic moment in that light. After all, I have no access to her blood alcohol level and no way to get proof that she has been drinking.




And it would seem odd that this has been successfully covered up for so long. But then again, Tim Walz's drunk driving lies were covered up for decades, as have his serial lies about his service record.


If the media doesn't want to see it and the people who are tied to her professionally don't want to say it, it will not be said or reported. It really could be that simple. Lots of things get swept under the rug all the time.

Kamala Harris was cruising to victory — if the press was to be believed — running a "vibes" campaign with less content than a hobo's day-old can of Sterno. So why did she make a hard left turn just days before her re-anointment as the Democratic presidential nominee?


("Re-anointment" because, this year, the DNC is nothing more than "democratic" window-dressing over the vape-filled room cabal that made her the nominee after forcing President Joe Biden out.)


In case you missed it, Harris on Friday unveiled her economic agenda, which amounts to the federal takeover of pretty much the entire economy in the name of fighting "price-gouging." How those would work in practice Harris hasn't quite explained (nor could she), but campaign surrogate Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) was already helping her back off that ledge yesterday on "The Hill Sunday."


“I think this is basically a statement of vision at this point,” Moulton said. “I mean, she’s building the plane as she flies it right now, jumping into this campaign so late.”


Uh-huh.


Even the Washington Post "destroyed" Harris's plan.


ASIDE: Harris expects her voters to ignore her claiming on one hand that inflation is basically over while on the other claiming inflation is so bad that she needs to impose price controls. It's also a curious coincidence that evil corporations only become greedy enough to indulge in price-gouging when Washington is printing and borrowing funny money by the trillions.


There's also Harris's plan to subsidize first-generation homebuyers to the tune of $25,000 each, using a new $40 billion in government grants that would (naturally) come with the effective federalization of residential zoning and construction. If you thought your local government was incompetent and corrupt when it comes to those, just wait until they fall under the domain of Harris's Ministry of Housing, comrade.


But I'm not here today to pick apart the details of Harris's commie economic agenda. I'm here to tell you why she might have revealed it.


Harris doesn't expect to win — or at least the cabal of Obama insiders running her campaign doesn't expect her to. Yes, Donald Trump's unfavorable ratings are uncomfortably high, but Harris's are worse and she's saddled with Biden's record as effectively the incumbent.

But there's a long game to be played, even in an election Democrats might not expect to win.


On the off chance that Dems are able to drag her empty pants suit across the finish line, they'll be able to sell it as a mandate for price controls, taking over the housing market, and swapping out Israel for Iran as our new best buds in the Middle East. If she loses, they'll at least have dragged the Overton Window further over to the Left. Nationalizing prices and the housing market might be too radical in 2024 or maybe even 2028, but if Democrats push long enough, they'll eventually seem centrist.

There's always a method to the Left's seeming madness, and it's this: power.

My first and continuing impression is she is one of those people who are capable of assimilation with ZERO idea how to get that rubber on the road. She apparently can memorize words, but when she can put them together, they go in a circle to nowhere. That's when she's not just throwing them out babbling incoherently like her boss.
