Either way, I'd say Trump isn't in the clear, even if he should win:

SHOCK: Secret Service Agent Left Her Post Protecting Trump to Breastfeed Baby She Brought to RallyDavid Strom 10:30 AM | August 15, 2024

Susan Crabtree of RealClearInvestigations broke a story this morning that in a sane would would shock you, but in the current world run by the Biden administration is just another day ending in "Y."

The entire post reads:

EXCLUSIVE and BREAKING: During a Donald Trump visit to North Carolina yesterday, a woman Secret Service special agent abandoned her post to breastfeed with no permission/warning to the event site agent, according to three sources in the Secret Service community.

Shortly before Trump's motorcade arrival -- I'm told five minutes beforehand -- the site agent was getting ready for the arrival. (The site agent is the person in charge of the entire event's security.)

The site agent went to do one final sweep of the walking route and found the agent breast-feeding her child in a room that is supposed to be set aside for important Secret Service official work, i.e. a potential emergency related to the president.

A working agent on duty cannot bring a child to a protective assignment. The woman was out of the Atlanta Field Office.

The woman agent was in the room with two other family members.

The agent and her family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by an unpinned event staff into the room to breastfeed, the sources said. Unpinned means they have not been cleared by the Secret Service to be there.

When contacted about the incident, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the incident did not have an impact on the event. and it's under review.

"All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards," he said. "While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further."

I wish I could say that this is unbelievable, but, really, is it? It's not like the Department of Homeland Security or the Secret Service has any interest in protecting Donald Trump from assassination.

Crabtree has publishing some outstanding investigating work on this and other topics. If you haven't been following her work or that of Dan Bongino you are woefully uninformed about the scandals--or what SHOULD be scandals--at the Secret Service.

By now, it is clear that, at the very least, Trump has been given the "B" team in protection. The Secret Service as an institution, if not all the agents assigned to Trump, have been doing remarkably and almost unbelievably bad work protecting Trump.

I ask again a question I have posed before: if such a series of events and failures had taken place in almost any country, wouldn't you by now at least be suspecting that the powers-that be are trying to get the protectee killed? Our faith in the Secret Service is predicated on their reputation and our faith that no American president or administration would try to get their political opponent killed.

At this point, do they deserve our faith? We keep being told that Trump should be stopped by any means necessary because he is Hitler 2.0. The regime has pursued him with unconstitutional means, tried to bankrupt him, tried to put him in jail, tried to keep him off the ballot, and it sure looks like they would love to see him killed.

The burden of proof in my mind has shifted from "prove they wanted him dead" to "prove they DIDN'T want him dead." There is just too much circumstantial evidence that they would be happy to have him dead, and almost accomplished that goal.

Am I being paranoid? Perhaps. But do you believe an agent could have done this while protecting Biden? I don't.

Could be both.

Could be both. That would be rather hard. Competent enough to pull off a conspiracy to kill a former President or not smart enough to see him? Not seeing where they gel.

Malevolence at the top and I in the supervisory roles.

And I don't think everyone was in on it. But allowing the guy to get up on the roof and all that went with that. I don't think any group is *that * incompetent. And not to be that guy, but if Gutfeld or anyone else on fox thought Biden or a govt agency were behind it, i don't think fox would allow them to say so.

Just reread the thread title. How about intentional incompetence? That's exactly what DEI boils down to. While we can blame the Dems for its overall effects on society, we can't let the "right" off the hook. Every time Trump shoves one of his less-electable candidates in the voters' faces, he's playing the same game. Even in the case where one wins, we still get a yes man for Trump rather than the best candidate.

There were too many screw ups for a professional hit. The first red flag for me is SS relying on local police as part of the detail. That's bullshit. The biggest breakdown to me was between the two. Their comm wasn't coordinated. The SS may use local assets, but the responsibility for that venue was theirs and the responsibility for making it work should they choose to use outside assets is theirs as well.

They were all lazy as far as I'm concerned until shots were fired. They didn't check all the boxes. This is the kind of shit that happens when you shortcut procedure. You shortcut procedure because you've been allowed to.

Then there's the OP. An infant dependent on post which requires you to leave to breastfeed it? WTF is THAT? You reassign that person until she can focus on her damned job.

We've seen it in the news how many times? Had this shit happened to a Marine unit (like that Col that bitched to the public about leadership for the Afghan fiasco), they took that whole unit back to base, locked it down and I guarantee you they ate, slept and drank rules and regs until the new commander was satisfied that Col's bad attitude was completely removed from all their brains. No doubt their records were also flagged as someone to be watched when they moved on.

The Secret Service needs a no bullshit professional to clean house. Bet they get another DEI hire:rolleyes:

Oh i don't think it was a professional hit either. Give me an hour and lemme eat my Stromboli and I'll get back to you.
