According to Google, only Fox News and the UK Guardian have done stories about the Trump assassination attempt in today or yesterday.

Every other story is 2-3 days old.

Now this is likely a Google issue as well as a mainstream media one, but it tells you just how desperate the Establishment is to bury the news about Trump unless it harms him in their eyes.

Does that seem right? The assassination attempt should be top of mind given its significance, yet we get constant stories about how Kamala Harris is the best thing since coconut cream was put into Piņa Coladas.

It's not that there is a lack of news to cover about the assassination attempt and in particular the Secret Service's failures to protect Trump. I have written many stories, Senators have been revealing whistleblower revelations at a speed that Olympic runners would admire, and videos showing the shooter running across the roof and setting up to shoot Trump show that the Secret Service is lying about what it knew and when it knew it.

You would think that news organizations might be interested in those stories, and the frequency with which people are likely trying to Google the news must still be sky-high.

But nobody in the mainstream media wants to focus on the story, both because it reflects very badly on the Biden administration which was charged with protecting Trump and reminds people of how badass Trump is.

I have written several stories about Director Ronald Rowe was personally responsible for crippling Trump's security detail, suggested that Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas should be investigated for his role in the fiasco, and about the growing suspicion among millions of people that the top levels of the Secret Service wanted Trump to be killed.

I don't expect them to reprint what I write or what ex-Secret Service agent Dan Bongino reveals, but in a normal world the media might at least be curious about such serious issues.

They aren't. They want the story buried and to call Trump a liar no matter how obviously true what he says is.

If I were a cynical man, I might begin to suspect that the media has an agenda and weirdly takes its orders directly from the DNC and the Deep State, but that would be weird, right? It's not like there is any weird evidence that they all write and say weird things in lockstep and shape their weirdly prioritized "news" stories according to the needs and desires of the weirdos in the Establishment.

It would be weird to say something like that, right? Really weird.

Did I say that this whole BS campaign was weird? Well, it is weird. This is actually why the left and the media have almost dropped the talking point.

You can see how profoundly distorted the mainstream media coverage is, though, most clearly if not most obviously (because it has dropped off the map) in the coverage of the assassination story. It is irrefutably a huge story, but the media is basically ignoring it for political reasons.

This is why I keep on pounding the point that the media, even more than the Democrats, should be the focus of our efforts to discredit the liars. Politicians come and go, but the media are the most powerful tool the left has to push their brainwashing agenda. They are the tentpoles.

Sure, we have to unmask Kamala, but we have to destroy the media's credibility most of all.

There's a curious lack of curiosity.

Amen. The great plague of modern society is people being incurious.
