One would think. Apparently the people and government of the US have this "untouchable" mindset coupled with "if it ain't happening this very minute ...". The issue of logistics not only comes up in one on one confrontation, but aftermath. One on one, China STILL has a bigger everything. In a war of attrition, assuming one-for-one trade in combat where both sides wipe each other out, the question becomes "What do have that you can float NOW"?

China is geared for a wartime industry. Thanks to the planet-hugging left driving our train for decades, we have little industry left to convert to a wartime footing if we wanted to. On other words, it's not a matter of winning the first round. It's what can you bring to Round 2?

Even Europe, given it's wishy-washy US partner, has had to face reality and start gearing up. Face it, it depends on which flake is President anymore and which way the wind is blowing if anyone gets our support beyond lip service. Or, as current events show, a dimwit trying to play on both sides of a war.

The situation is ridiculous. We need to start looking out for ourselves and not in the stupidity of isolationism which at best can delay the inevitable. Our best defense is to arm our forward defenses/allied countries to the teeth. Something Americans with their ostrich mindset aren't even considering is the next war is come HERE. It isn't going to be like prior WWs where we were isolated by distance. Our internal defenses are pathetic at best and/or our infrastructure is basically unguarded.

There's going to be a lot of crying when the damn breaks. We don't have anywhere near the domestic social services to handle a bunch of spoiled rotten brat refugees with zero survival skills. Like we demand Israel provide Gaza. But it'll be "different" when it's us:rolleyes:

Why does China have to go to war?
they go to countries and make deals that tie them to them.
It's the west that's conquered by war (others started them or helping freedom fighting of course) and bases.
the Chinese have economic footholds on every continent. they seem to be trying to own or control the wealth, land and resources via TRADE and not by threats of guns or promises of "protection" via Military bases.

if I remember correctly it's Part of the reason AFRI-COM was started. China has so many economic inroad into Africa and have built infrastructure there so they are well entangled in the production of resources while the western powers were not as... kind. with it fomenting of coups, and harsher deals to locals and the like.
The only other tried & true western option is "protection" -Military Bases!!!-

China has for decades been trying to work with South American countries to build an alternative to the Panama canal all without firing a shot.
or creating a "forward base".
The U.S. has been using poison pills to kill the deals. even though some countries were willing to take the deals.

All that to say, not every problem is a nail.
some are. no doubt.
But it's not 1930, it's almost 2030 things are slightly different.

PLUS many of the multinational corps don't want war with China, they LOVE what China has done to it's people (Kissinger loved it) and want that level of control exported around the world.
