I like my shit and I don't like your dumb asses changing happy's to glad's to justify your existence at the expense of MY f-ing time, effort, confusion and thread-like patience. WHen I want an update I'll let you know.

Did what I tell you fix the issue?

For others with Chrome or mozilla based browsers - should you get any updates and then suddenly the board looks to lose all of it's formatting and you mainly see just text...

You need to go into the settings of your browser and find "insecure content" and add "debatepolicy.com" as allowed to show insecure content.

Alternatively, when you visit the site - up on your URL bar where you see the board address - just to the left you will see a tiny icon that states "not secure" - if you click on that, then click on "site settings", then inside there scroll down to "insecure content" option and unblock the option.

The reason for this - and you will likely see this on most boards - is that the site requires you to login. We are not using SSL security, so to protect you they automatically block content. Stupid IMO instead of just giving you a message or similar. Usually you will go to login to a bank or similar and the address will be HTTPS:// instead of the regular, this letting you know that SSL protection is in place.

I believe there is a way to unblock this setting altogether instead of just for DP, but that's up to the individual. I did myself as I know when and when not to worry if a site is using secure protection or not. I usually only care about it if I am logging into a bank, paypal or other sites that contain my money, credit or personal identification info and such.

Oh, also, should anyone have any issues outside of what I posted, feel free to post questions and I will try my best to assist. These updates DO suck when they make things more difficult for the regular users instead of easier IMO.

It prompts you to look for the "lock" (pic of padlock) icon, but doesn't say where. I'm looking all over the f-ing place for this padlock icon and nowhere to be found. So I switched to Edge and lo and behold: in the address bar of the site (DP) is this padlock.

So I go back to Chrome and it's a different symbol. Key being: it's the symbol to the left of the site address when you pull up the site.

Then you have to go through the list and "allow" insecure whatever" , which is a just switching from blocked to unblocked or allow. I didn't take notes while I was doing it. Probably should have

When I had issues with Chrome I switched to Opera browser to login to DP. No problems since. I still use Chrome mainly though.

Yeah, I should have been clearer over text. To the left in Chrome is a message that states "not secure" and also a triangle there with an exclamation within it. Chrome likes to play hide and seek games on new updates!

Really not a problem, just one that THEY made with changes. Reversing their retarded changes puts it back the way she was.

Opera is pretty darn good too! All I use on my phone is Opera in incognito mode. Can highly recommend both Opera and Brave. They're all the same root as Chrome but a tad less intrusive.

More fun. At least I had how to do the permissions deal fresh in my mind.

So my Dad decided I need a new computer for my birthday and Christmas. And Jacob needed a drone:slap:

Desktops have real keyboards. This is not fun. I'm mis-typing every other word AND having to look at the keyboard. It's WAY different spacing-wise from my laptop. Free is free :)
