Given the issues listed, you see a way out for Argentina? And is Milei the guy to do it? Looks to me like the only direction he can go is up at this point.

At least he isn't a socialist and is cutting ties with Iran and China. He's also an enthusiastic supporter of Israel.

I really need to read up more on American governments. I mean I 'know' that Central and South America have mucho problems, but truth is all my formal education was on US; Eastern and Western Civilizations. I know alot more about ancient Rome than about Venezuela.

I can see a way out for Argentina and he's got the best chance of being able to do it. He needs to beat back the populism and leftism that has destroyed Argentina for 100 years. Dollarization is a good plan, free trade is a good plan... the question being can he actually move an agenda forward without a party to rely on in their Congress.

The link I posted specifically didn't label him because I don't think the labels being applied are accurate. He's not a populist, "far right" isn't good either. He's close to a Libertarian but the left is going to try and paint him as being just short of the devil. I don't think they'll be able to do it but doesn't mean he can get the important stuff done.

Argentina was the bee's knees a hundred years ago so I think they do. I think just about any country or group does when the yoke of government is taken away. But you're right, the real question is overcoming the left with their inconsequential gripes to derail a necessary process.
