Did I miss something? Hunter Biden is implicated in Mayorkas dereliction of duty at the Border?

It looks to me from reading the article, that the committee believes through FBI whistleblowers that heads of DHS and others contacted Secret Service to keep investigation from going forward, i.e., they obstructed. This is why they need to move to impeachment inquiry. Weiss is not going to do his job obviously.

I got that. Why DHS? Besides the fact that Mayorkas is nothing more than a Biden stooge. I suppose one could stretch Hunter Biden being a threat to Homeland Security since his dealings have been with other nations. He doesn't seem competent enough to be a threat to anyone but himself and those around/supporting him.

Because Secret Service is under DHS.
