Deserved. I have seen no other team in international competition disrespect the very damned country they represent and are footing their bill as the American soccer team. Putting that loser of a humanoid Rapinoe on the team is a perfect example of putting winning ahead of everything. Like the US team representing the US:rolleyes:

It's lazy when journalists feel the need to put everyone in the same boat. I'm not cheering the exit but I'm also not as invested as much as the men's World Cup last year for exactly the reasons you mention.

Interesting note that you state the men's team did the same thing. I don't recall seeing it mentioned much. But because Rapinoe is this creepy, woke, America-hater, she's gotten tons of undeserved attention from the media.

IMO, if you play on a team representing your country, and your team is funded by tax dollars and donations, you shut your mouth, act grateful for the opportunity and the aforementioned funding you, and play your best damned game. If on the other hand, like Rapinoe, you want to use your access to the media the people's monies afforded you to slam the team you play for that represents us, SCREW YOU.

The men's WC was last year and they did fairly well, without the expectations of the women, but it wasn't a complete drama fest as the women's team has been for far too long. It's a shame it has to be so and didn't in my opinion.
