They have never stopped pursuing nuclear weapons. Just come up with better ways to hide it until now, its too big and they cannot. Sweden and one other country reported Iranian agents trying to procure information and material pursuing nuclear weapons as late as a couple of weeks ago.

Iran is not a threat to just the US and Israel. It has proxy terrorist groups in a half-dozen countries. Iran is more the reason for the ME being screwed up than even the US.
