The main revelations from the documents are:
– 97 NATO Special Operations troops are currently deployed inside Ukraine.
– A total of 100 US personnel are deployed inside Ukraine, including 71 US military personnel.
– The US military sees the training of the Ukrainian military, NATO deployments in Europe and US military deployments inside Ukraine as being interoperable, and reports all of them on a single page.
– The US has drawn up detailed maps for a planned offensive operation aimed at cutting off Crimea from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory, with “favorable” conditions for the offensive beginning in mid-May.
– The US and its NATO allies are training, funding and arming three quarters of the forces that are going to be thrown into combat as part of this offensive. One of the documents declares that “12 combat credible [brigades] can be generated for the spring Counteroffensive: 3 internationally by Ukraine, and 9 are US, Allied & Partner trained and equipped.”

The only things I see that would be classified is exact numbers and capabilities and objective. That "NATO is training ..." and "we are part of NATO" has been writing on the wall from Day One that NATO decided to support Ukraine.

Just my opinion: Dumb plan. Zelenskiy/NATO allowing ideology to override reality. Most ethnic Crimeans were killed off by the Soviets and all their land and stuff given to Russians. Crimea, to the best of my knowledge, IS more ethnic Russian than anything else.

We, of course, have no idea which way actual Crimeans lean what with all the freedom of speech Russia allows :rolleyes: However, strategically, taking Crimea is putting the cart before the horse. Ukraine needs to secure the mainland and it can cut off Crimea. If Crimea is a must -- save it for last and see what you have left to take it with and whether or not it is realistically rather than symbolically worth taking. At the end of the day, Russia and Ukraine are going to share a border.

Most importantly, and again, IMO, the more serious issue here is the leaked classified info. NO WAY classified info of this nature and at this level is not TS or above, and "eyes only". That means a verifiable chain of command/custody. The information has to be signed for at every change of hands, and any and everyone that so much as typed a word identified.

Given that, I say the leak was done on purpose by some higher-ups. Otherwise, someone's ass would already be nailed to a cross. That is of course assuming professionals are involved.

Which leads to questioning the other option: if this is actually an unidentifiable leak of classified info at this level, there are really stupid, inept and unprofessional POSs driving the train. Given the track record of at least our current and previous President regarding classified material, not outside the realm of possibility.

If a person is identified as the source, that person needs to be executed by firing squad in front of the US Capitol. From a member of a once highly professional military force that would accept no such behavior, there's no excuse. None.
