Seems to me they would have had a way out if the US had a competent CinC. Biden and/or whoever pulls his strings are going to have a LOT of bodies and ruined lives to answer for when they get to stand before "The Man" where lies, double-talk and blame-shifting don't fly.

And half of the folks hiding out from the taliban will be killed with US weapons. And the taliban will travel easier to all of their destinations thanks to Uncle Joe. Much quicker with the endless humvees left for them than the goats they were using before.
