..........because we long ago reached the doublethink phase predicted by Orwell, where most of the population is conscious of double standards but ignores them effortlessly

Especially with MSM shoving their virtue signaling propaganda down our throats. About the time people wake up to the double standard a new crisis emerges. A new distraction seems to pop up about the time people start saying .... "hey, that's not right".

And every media outlet uses the same phrases and photos.
