Here's 3 Stupid Things Dems keep believing no matter how many times they get absolutely proved wrong. Not because the Dems are stupid (although they are) but just because they just want these things to be true so much that they can never stop believing.
Stupid Belief #1 - You can increase taxes on something to any amount and people will just keep buying the same amount of it, and fork over the tax with it.
It never occurs to Dems that people will buy less of it to avoid the tax. Or that they will get it from some other country, or buy something similar that isn't taxed. Dems have never heard of the "Law of Unintended Consequences".
Stupid Belief #2 - You can stop producing energy in America but America will still have plenty of energy.
It never occurs to Dems that oil produced in America helps the economy. Or that oil bought from the Middle East cost a lot of money, or might end up funding terrorism. Or that windmills and solar energy don't work that well yet.
Stupid Belief #3 - You can stop supporting law enforcement, but still have safe neighborhoods.
It doesn't occur to Dems that if you defund the police, then criminals will go nuts. Or that if you put too many police on trial, then the police won't want to get involved in things. Or that if people see rioters and criminals going unpunished, then they will decide to go ahead and riot and commit crimes.
