C'mon, one would have to be blind to not see what this results in. He beat the women in the short race 500 by 12 seconds demolishing the rest of the field. Then in the 1,650 (odd length), he showed the true difference. Winning and then sitting in the pool for 40 seconds waiting for the next place finisher. That's demeaning to all of them IMO. He is even destroying collegiate records, but only in women's record books.

And these kids are aware and don't say anything. If they do speak up - they will go viral and maybe even "canceled".

I completely get that he wants to compete, but doesn't he see the reactions, news & even the crying of the others trying to compete? But simply doesn't care as there is no asterisk next to his name in the record books.

UPenn Parents Plead with NCAA to Change Rules After Trans Swimmer Dominates Women’s Competition

Parents of the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team have written a letter urging the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to change its rules on transgender athletes in response to Lia Thomas – a biological male – dominating the competition.

Obtained by the Daily Mail, the letter from the parents of 10 swimmers, sent on December 5, lamented that a new “precedent” has been set that could potentially destroy female sports.

“At stake here is the integrity of women’s sports,” the letter said. “The precedent being set – one in which women do not have a protected and equitable space to compete – is a direct threat to female athletes in every sport. What are the boundaries? How is this in line with the NCAA’s commitment to providing a fair environment for student-athletes?”

The letter called on the NCAA to address the controversy instead of sweeping it under the rug and allowing Lia Thomas to take all the blame.

“As the governing body, it is unfair and irresponsible to leave the onus on Lia, Lia’s teammates, Lia’s coaches, UPenn athletics and the Ivy League. And it is unfair and irresponsible to Lia to allow the media to dictate the narrative without the participation of the NCAA,” it said.

The parents reportedly began banding together in October after Lia’s advantage over the other swimmers became readily apparent. One mother told the Daily Mail that transgenders should have their own league to compete on an even playing field.

The parents of about 10 swimmers sent a letter last week to the NCAA and forwarded it to the Ivy League and University of Pennsylvania officials.

'At stake here is the integrity of women's sports,' they wrote in the letter obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com. 'The precedent being set – one in which women do not have a protected and equitable space to compete – is a direct threat to female athletes in every sport. What are the boundaries? How is this in line with the NCAA's commitment to providing a fair environment for student-athletes?

'It is the responsibility of the NCAA to address the matter with an official statement,' the parents continue. 'As the governing body, it is unfair and irresponsible to leave the onus on Lia, Lia's teammates, Lia's coaches, UPenn athletics and the Ivy League. And it is unfair and irresponsible to Lia to allow the media to dictate the narrative without the participation of the NCAA.'

The NCAA has yet to respond to the letter, sent December 5.

One parent, who asked not to be identified for fear of repercussions for herself and her daughter, told DailyMail.com, 'The swimmers have mixed feelings. Many of them want to speak up, but they don't because they believe they'll be ostracized.

'Everybody is scared,' the mom added. 'Parents are also scared that the kids will be harmed. We are paying $80,000 for this school. Their life will be impacted.'
