Sure, comparing the draft process and selection in the NFL to that of being a slave.

Hell, they are pampered since college, then even more so for the draft process. Imagine that, an owner wanting to see someone perform up close considering the millions + investments.

Then once selected, the NFL and the teams pamper them even more.

But mainly, how many slaves I wonder got millions of dollars and pampered for their hard work?

This guy is an unbelievable piece of ****.

Colin Kaepernick Compares NFL Combine to Slave Auction in Netflix Series

Former NFL quarterback and original anthem protester Colin Kaepernick compared the NFL Combine process to a slave auction in Netflix documentary series chronicling his life experiences.

In the series Colin In Black & White, which Kaepernick narrates, the former 49er appears in a scene where he talks about NFL prospects being “poked, prodded, and examined” for defects before the NFL Draft. The players at the “combine” then leave the NFL field and enter a mid-1800’s slave auction where white landowners examine slaves for purchase.

In the scene, Kaepernick says this is how “they” establish a “power dynamic.” The scene closes with the NFL coach and slave auctioneer shaking hands against the backdrop of bonded slaves, in an attempt to establish a generational link between the professional athlete selection process and slavery.

I think he's just a piece of shit blaming others for his sitting the bench, which just escalated and grown worse. I am SO glad that no one ever signed him again.

He complains when people who have spent much of their lives trying to advance in a sport that involves the simplistic act of moving a football are suddenly being judged on how well they can move, or assist in moving, a football? Shocking.

Do only the black players get poked and prodded? That would be doubly shocking.

All he’s accomplishing with this comparison:
- making slavery seem less awful
- looking like even more of an idiot

So the NFL grabs random guys off the street, drags them to a football field against their will and forces them to do drills so they can be evaluated?

Does Colin understand what the word slave means? Why did he try so hard to be picked up by an NFL team? Who takes this guy seriously?
