Are Dem politicians and GOP politicians the same kind of liars and tricksters, but just with different agendas? People who don't give it much thought like to say so, but no, they are definitely not. Dems are much, much worse. They lie much more, they break the rules much more, and they try to commit election fraud much more.
They may have been the same 50 years ago, but things have changed because of one thing - the media turned rabidly liberal and now cover all news with a very liberal slant. The media now slants all politically-related news to attack GOP politicians and to protect Dem politicians. The media's news coverage is slanted to the point were they will knowingly lie, knowingly post slanted 'fact checkers', block news stories that would hurt Dems, and make up stories to hurt the GOP.
What does a Dem politician like Biden do when he realizes he can lie, abandon people in Afghanistan, take million dollar bribes from China, and break rules in the Constitution and the media will cover for him? Unsurprisingly, he does all those things. All it takes is a lack of integrity, which Joe has in abundance.
What does a GOP politician do when they realize they can't pull any tricks without the media demanding their immediate resignation and imprisonment? Like most people, they tread carefully. Actually, these days a GOP politician doesn't actually have to pull any tricks - the media will accuse them of stuff anyway.
That's why I'm annoyed when anyone quotes the old adage that 'all politicians are the same' and 'both parties do it'. That may have been true at one time, but that was a long time ago. It is not true anymore.
