Also , there is actually no test for any specific virus --- a PCR might pick up a two year old dead Flu virus .But cannot specifically diagnose that . Tester just says , Covid .

There isn't even an isolated Covid virus in the first pace --- synthetic bio weapon and not a natural substance .

Standard tests do not tell you which variant you have.

Variants of high consequence is a different kind of thing apparently.


Possible attributes of a variant of high consequence:

Demonstrated failure of diagnostic test targets.
Evidence to suggest a significant reduction in vaccine effectiveness, a disproportionately high number of vaccine breakthrough cases, or very low vaccine-induced protection against severe disease.

I believe that's correct. It's an extra level of analysis that they don't always do.
