Iconic folk singer Bob Dylan has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 1965, when the musician was in his mid-20s, according to a lawsuit filed last week in New York.

According to the suit, which was filed in state Supreme Court on Friday, Dylan befriended the girl, identified only as J.C., in May 1965.

Dylan, now 80, allegedly “established an emotional connection” with J.C. to “lower her inhibitions with the object of sexually abusing her, which he did,” the suit says.

The suit adds that Dylan allegedly used drugs, alcohol and threats of physical violence, "leaving her emotionally scarred and psychologically damaged to this day.”

In a statement to NBC News, a spokesman for Dylan said, "The 56-year-old claim is untrue and will be vigorously defended."

Daniel Isaacs, one of the attorneys representing J.C., responded to a request for comment by saying, "Nothing other than the complaint speaks for itself and we shall prove our allegations in a court of law."

IF- proven to be true it will cost him =dearly in money but even worse in the lasting damage to his image, fame and personal reputation...
The key is- if it can be--- proven -- to be true.....
As of now- it is only an accusation made and will go to court..
Anybody can make any claim they want- they key is if it can be legally proven in a court of law to have actually happened...--Tyr

Better be a bundle of proof. I honestly didn't dive very far into the story. But I learned more and more that when cases like these come out you will often find cases that jump out of the woodwork and are as fake as a $4 bill. Not to say this girl or any other girl or woman is lying, just what I've seen over time. This is one old case! If someone can even wiggle in there with circumstantial crap, then often some will use money to make things go away. But an accusation like this can't be settled in such a way as then the accusation sticks with you. So Bob is going to have to take this in court all of the way.

No way in hell she wins anything in court without some hard evidence, IMO.
