At Least 10 Killed, Over A Dozen Injured In Texas Van Crash

UPDATED 1:34 PM PT – Thursday, August 5, 2021At least 10 people have been pronounced dead after a van reportedly carrying dozens of migrants crashed in South Texas. On Wednesday, the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office confirmed 10 people were killed and 20 others were injured when the vehicle veered off the highway about 50 miles north of McAllen.
The van reportedly struck a metal pole killing the driver and nine others on impact. The injured passengers were taken to local hospitals for treatment, where some are said to be in critical condition. The crash was said to have happened close to a nearby border patrol checkpoint.
“As of right now, it looks like undocumented immigrants, but right now we’re trying to ID everybody and then we’re going to have to also go through the Mexican Consulate to confirm if they are from out of the country or not,” said Sgt. Nathan Bradley from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to officials, the van didn’t have seats or seatbelts and was carrying twice its capacity, which could have played a role in the wreck. Texas authorities are currently working with the Mexico Consulate to identify the victims, however, those identities will not be released until family members are first notified.

So true...sad for the Illegals (in that accident)...But..who choose to come here Illegally... disrespecting & trashing private property...bringing viruses with them...many commiting crimes..and in the end...expect the American Tax payer to feed..care...clothe...school them and their children...

Americans fought for "Their" Country and spilled blood for their Country....and never had to depend and feed off someone else for their livelyhood...We have enough people here already feeding off the American Taxpayer...

I try to not judge the illegals too harshly. They are at the bottom of the food chain any way you slice it. Most of these people are ignorant beyond a level we understand and some shyster comes along promising gold at the end of the rainbow. Most are at a level just above survival.

The people promising them a wonderful World at the end of the ride are beneath contempt. The people here who hire them are as well, and should be punished severely rather than slapped on the wrist for doing so. Harsh enough to remove the market for hiring them. Coyotes should get 10 years minimum. They are the trash that put them into the van.

Let's not forget the Democratic Party in this who could give a rat's ass about these people. What are they REALLY doing for them? Giving them an official ride into the country instead of the coyotes doing it, then just like the coyotes, turning them out.

As far as I am concerned the Dems are responsible for all this. And don't tell me living in the first and largest city in the US on this side of the Border that the sudden COVID spike here that has coincided with Biden taking office isn't because of his Administration and his orders. On that I agree with Abbott. He's endangering us all for illegal votes.

the Democratic Party are the ones that should be deported first. There's nothing American about their behavior and they don't deserve to live here.
