On the other hand, having lived abroad on more than a couple of occasions, I never found myself having to explain The President of the US to anyone. Talking politics in a foreign country is not a wise decision unless one is completely versed on that country's rules and politics. I've seen the inside of a Turkish jail. I'll pass on putting myself there with my own mouth.

I have talked politics quite happily and with shared interest in dozens of countries and never found it a problem . At all levels .


I have generally noted that in the past the US was accepted and / or tolerated in terms of Might though rarely if ever in terms of Right .

Now it is not seen as particularly Mighty and never Right .

One clear reason is that Sleepy is not regarded as an honestly elected President and is performing awfully , regardless of politics . Harris is barely

mentioned because she is frankly held in zero regard anywhere .

Although it appears clear that Sleepy will shortly be replaced, the country as a whole would rebel literally at even the prospect of Harris being thought of

as his successor . imo .

This will put the DNC in an impossible situation, though I for one believe that required decisions will not affect the democratic party because of other

over-riding matters and alternative solutions that could be imminent .
