Do your elected officials work for you?

Before voting think of the local and state officials alongside the feds. I do this question on virtually every board that I post on to get the feel of the folks.

Please explain your position as well.

Sometimes a politician's goals coincide with why we elected them. But in general, I'm not to big on elected officials being in it to serve their constituents. I tend to believe they're in it for themselves as a career choice.
