China is waging war on the US. Biden whispers in response

The Chinese Communist Party is aggressively engaging America in a cold war. These acts of war destabilize our nation, weaken our economy, and kill our citizens. Instead of countering these attacks and holding China accountable, President Joe Biden whispers diplomacy and blames past administrations.
On Monday, the Biden administration linked sweeping cyberattacks against Microsoft and other American companies to the Chinese government. Intellectual property theft and damages from cyberwarfare, the lion’s share of which is sponsored by the Chinese government, cost American businesses billions of dollars every year.
In response to China’s sponsorship of this egregious attack on the United States, Biden didn’t believe any punitive action was necessary. Instead, he issued a statement calling on China to uphold international law. China’s flagrant illegal interference in the U.S. deserves more than a strongly worded statement.
Further, while the Chinese government monitors every movement and statement made by its citizens, it feigns ignorance over the production and distribution of fentanyl, causing a crisis across the U.S. and claiming tens of thousands of lives each year. In the Chinese police state, no activity goes unmonitored — just look to the Chinese government’s authoritarian censorship of the internet. By knowingly permitting illicit fentanyl to ship to the United States, the Chinese government has killed untold thousands of Americans.
Additionally, China exploited the COVID-19 pandemic, knowingly allowing it to spread and then capitalizing on the crisis to expand its authoritarian agenda. When COVID-19 was first beginning to spread, the Chinese government pressured foreign governments to continue free and open international travel. By actively spreading false information about the virus, the Chinese government paved the way for more than 600,000 deaths in the U.S. and more than 4 million deaths worldwide.
Even as China implemented strict quarantine rules on tens of millions of its citizens, it condemned international efforts to curtail COVID-19’s transmission. On Jan. 23, 2020, hundreds of flights in and out of Wuhan were canceled. A week later, former President Donald Trump made the prescient decision to restrict travel between the U.S. and China. In response, the Chinese government disparaged the decision as fearmongering and racist. For months following China’s domestic shutdowns, CCP officials pressured foreign governments to continue allowing free and open international travel with China.
China was positioned better than any country to know the imminent threat COVID-19 posed to the world. While the CCP responded to quell the virus’ spread domestically, it disseminated propaganda to the rest of the world, downplaying its hazards. Through its duplicity, the Chinese government weaponized the coronavirus to assault the United States, undermine global stability, and manipulate the resulting chaos to achieve its own authoritarian ends.
It is clear to any rational observer of the facts that the Chinese government’s policies, practices, and intentions are nefarious.
Biden does not believe China’s attacks on our nation merit a punitive response. These acts of aggression must be called what they are, and the U.S. must hold the Chinese government accountable. Unless American leadership abandons its toothless foreign policy, the Chinese Communist Party is going to continue doing whatever it wants, knowing there will be no retaliation.
