My "screwypics" site has been hacked. The scumbags defaced the main page, changed the password on the SQL database, deleted many pertinent files & uploaded scripts and files - then shared them on bittorrent sites! Apparently they were "anime" movies they were sharing. My host suspended the account...
Since it was on my VPS, I unsuspended the account, changed all the passwords, deleted the SQL database and deleted the entire contents of the site.
Long story, but it's not something that could be easily restored via backup because of the way the site was designed, and the fact that my SQL backup when it was good is a different date than the flat files. If I re-installed the script that powered the site I would then have to re-upload about 6,000 files and it would literally take me weeks! I hope these hackers die!
Anyone have any good ideas I can do with that domain name without having to spend the next 1/4 of my life getting up and running again? :)
