Cause it turns out you may not be going out a 2nd time, at least if the UK has their way.

UK Govt Mulls Ban on Britons Leaving the House More than Once Per Week: Report
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is reportedly considering enforcing even more stringent measures during England’s third lockdown, including banning Britons from leaving their homes more than once a week.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Johnson announced the third lockdown with stay-at-home orders, which could legally last until March 31st.
The government is now considering putting Britons under effective house arrest, with sources speaking to the Mail Online (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9131613/Is-lockdown-TOUGHER-Matt-Hancock-refuses-rule-curfews-closing-nurseries.html) saying that unless people strictly follow the rules, Boris may ban people leaving their homes more than once a week.
Currently, Britons may exercise once a day with either a friend, others in their house, or with their support bubble. They may also go out for other ‘essential’ purposes such as food shopping or to receive healthcare.
Separately, sources also told The Telegraph on Monday (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/01/10/tighter-restrictions-cards-concerns-grow-public-compliance-coronavirus/) that the Cabinet was considering harsher lockdown restrictions, including banning households from exercising together and forcing office workers to wear masks.

With demo--rats in control we may end up getting that and then some.
Don't ever think that anything is beyond the arrogant display of dictatorial power with those ffing vermin.
I believe in the next four years we may see even worse than that from those ffing bastards/SOBS.
Not a damn one of them worth more that a spit, imho..-Tyr

Not as extreme as you might think. One of my best friends from high school lives in the Merseyside area (between Liverpool and Manchester) with her family. I talk with her on a regular basis. The new strain of Covid-19 is extremely contagious and affects all ages. The new lockdown measures were introduced after new hospitalizations rose 30 percent over the last six weeks. In some areas of the country, as many as 10 percent of the populace had been infected. The government were pushed to issue a third lockdown due to so many residents disregarding rules over the holiday period. If you want to know the actual rules that are now in place, I was sent this -----------> https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/live-boris-johnson-speaks-tonight-19561814 -----------------> more about the health situation here ------------> https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/knowsley-council-issues-warning-over-19604434

Out of the 10% infected, how many die?

Out of the 10% infected, how many die? It's not a question of how many died. Since few actually do. I know you worked hard to raise your family through hard work. Suppose you had been hospitalized for a month? Or left with breathing impairment that left you unable to work for more than two hours a day? The later strains of Covid-19 have left even young, healthy individuals with permanent impairments. Some are cured of the actual virus, but never recover their health. Or worse - suppose you are a hard worker and then you're out of work due to no fault of your own and because of all the forced shut downs. Then you get covid and end up in the hospital as you point out. And then your family is left hanging - because politicians are holding back help for political reasons?

That aside, the basic, the emergency things like groceries, milk/eggs and stuff, they shouldn't be limiting people from getting to that stuff unless they're running around without masks and a care for others.

I owned my own business and lockdown would have damaged my business and left my family in worse shape. A month in hospital compared to a year of lockdowns. Not everyone can work from home. My business depended on making other businesses successful and if they can't open I go bankrupt. So, covid would have destroyed my family either way.
