This is an article about the massacre in case you don't remember:

If someone takes a good look at MGTOW instead of just virtue signaling, they will notice two groups: Older divorced men who want to alert others how to be prepared for toxic "femininity" and younger "black pill" men often derided as "incels". One common thread from the advice older MGTOWs give to the younger "black pill" crowd is to understand the proper definition of the word resource. These younger men are frustrated because they don't effectively marshal their resources. Patrick Crusius made a life-altering investment in a group he considers a liability. It's the pinnacle of poor judgment. One invests in assets, not liabilities.
Everything that presents an opportunity cost is a resource. You will see this theme run through commentary from older MGTOWs. That includes, but is not limited to financial resources, know-how, social resources, effort, thoughts. Even a smile is a resource. In my opinion, had he traveled another five miles South, he would have found lots of people who were a good investment of his resources. There is a fine line between seeing a group as high risk/low return versus blind emotional hate. Someone should have schooled Patrick Crusius on effective use of his resources.
Notice that I'm commenting from a perspective from being "on his side". While no one was able to steer Patrick Crusius in the right direction, there are others like him lurking out there who can learn to trade their frustration for effectively marshalling their resources.
