Ya know, I thought about this earlier. With so many leaders going on television to get the vaccine. They are pushing hard to convince everyone to get the shot. Now there is video of at least one person getting the shot live - only the syringe was already depressed, and they put the needle in and never pushed anything. The hospital kinda almost admitted as much, stating they will look into it, and then the next day got another shit.
The rest here is just all bad news. Unless you're going out to a boobie bar!

US has its DEADLIEST day of the pandemic so far: Nearly 3,700 people die in 24 hours, a record 113,069 are hospitalized and 250,000 more people are infected as vaccine shipments are held up across the country
The United States reported a record 3,656 new deaths on Wednesday, marking the fourth time daily fatalities have topped 3,000 amid the pandemic
The number of people hospitalized has also hit a new record with 113,069 patients being treated and new infections surged to a single-day high of 247,403
The total case load has now surpassed 17 million and represents roughly five percent of the US population
The latest statistics followed several hiccups in the distribution of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine this week, including the first allergic reaction to an inoculation in the US
Pfizer also announced it would deliver about 900,000 fewer doses next week than are set to ship this week
The Iowa Department of Public Health said federal officials decreased their allocated doses by 30%
Alabama and California also had supplies cut short after roughly 4,000 doses arrived too cold
Shipments of hundreds of thousands of doses for Florida were delayed due to a production issue with Pfizer'
In more positive news the FDA revealed that Pfizer overfilled vials of its vaccine by up to 40%, which means over a million more doses than anticipated will be available if clinicians use every drop in the vials
The United States has set a new record for COVID-19 deaths with more than 3,600 Americans dying in 24 hours - as hospitalizations and new cases surged to single-day highs and vaccine shipments continue to be held up across the country.
At least 3,656 Americans died on Wednesday, which is the highest number of deaths in a single day throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
It is only the fourth time daily death have surpassed the 3,000 mark amid the pandemic with all four occurring in the last week alone.
The nationwide seven-day average for daily deaths now stands at 2,545.
The number of people hospitalized has also hit a new record with 113,069 patients being treated across the country. The number of people hospitalized has now exceeded 100,000 for 15 days straight.
Meanwhile, new infections have surged to a single-day high of 247,403. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is not at more than 215,000.
The total case load has now surpassed 17 million and represents roughly five percent of the US population.
The latest statistics followed several hiccups in the distribution of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, including the first allergic reaction to an inoculation in the US reported in Alaska on Wednesday, and the manufacturer's announcement that it would deliver about 900,000 fewer doses next week than are set to ship this week.

New Covid-19 strain features 17 mutations sparking fears vaccine won't work
The new strain of Covid-19 has 17 mutations, scientists have discovered.
UK experts have been analysing the new variant of coronavirus and say they have uncovered 17 alterations from the original strain of the killer disease, which they described as "a lot".
Many of the changes have happened to the virus's spike protein, which it uses to latch onto human cells and cause illness.
This is significant because most Covid-19 vaccines being developed, including the Pfizer jab that has already begun to be rolled out in the UK, are effective by targeting this protein.
It is feared this could stop people becoming immune to coronavirus if they have been infected with a different strain than the vaccine can protect them against.

With ICUs hitting capacity, hospitals turn to desperate measures
With intensive care units in Southern California and the Central Valley lurching perilously close to full capacity Tuesday, officials are turning to increasingly desperate measures to prevent the state's coronavirus surge from killing more patients.
Hospitalizations are continuing to rise at unprecedented levels, and officials have limited options for boosting capacity. Among the tools: Canceling scheduled surgeries; keeping critically ill patients in emergency rooms; sending ICU patients into step-down units earlier; training nurses from elsewhere in hospitals to help with intensive care; and increasing the numbers of patients an ICU nurse can treat.
California has recorded a cumulative 1.65 million coronavirus cases and more than 21,400 COVID-19 deaths. The state has far fewer cumulative cases and deaths per capita compared with other states, but a surge in infections related to pandemic fatigue and Thanksgiving has resulted in the worst wave of the pandemic so far.
Ambulances waiting at hospitals for six hours
In Los Angeles County, emergency rooms are so crowded that some ambulances have been forced to wait as long as six hours to offload patients, said Cathy Chidester, director of the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency. Some patients arriving by ambulance are asked to sit in the emergency department lobby so the ambulance can depart.
California is also desperately seeking more medical staff from overseas, perhaps from as far away as Australia, while opening field hospitals to care for non-ICU patients in places such as Costa Mesa, Porterville, Sacramento and Imperial; other facilities are on standby status in Riverside, Richmond, Fresno, San Diego and San Francisco.

California, the latest epicenter, is reporting more coronavirus cases than most countries in the world
California - the country's largest and richest state - is the new epicenter of America's coronavirus crisis, with unprecedented surges of seriously infected patients threatening to overwhelm hospitals and overflow morgues.
The state is reporting unnerving numbers: California has set nationwide records for new cases again and again in the past week - most recently on Wednesday, when it posted more than 41,000 infections. If California were a country, it would be among the world leaders in new covid-19 cases, ahead of India, Germany and Britain.
The number of available beds in intensive care units is plummeting. In the San Joaquin Valley, hospitals ran out over the weekend, resorting to "surge capacity." And in Southern California, a region that includes Los Angeles and San Diego, ICU capacity dipped to just 0.5% Wednesday.
"I want to be very clear: our hospitals are under siege and our model shows no end in sight," Christina Ghaly, director of LA County's Department of Health Services, said at a dire news briefing that day.
Because it takes, on average, more than a week for people to get sick enough to be hospitalized, today's capacity numbers actually reflect case numbers that are roughly 10 days old, when the state was reporting 10,000 fewer infections.
"The worst," Ghaly promised, "is still before us."

CA COVID update: ICU capacity drops to 0% in Southern California as state reports 379 new deaths, shattering record
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (KABC) -- The ICU capacity in the 11-county Southern California region has dropped to 0% amid a dramatic surge in coronavirus cases, officials said Thursday.
California hospitals are required to report the total number of all available staffed ICU beds each day. Regional ICU capacity is calculated by subtracting neonatal and pediatric intensive care beds from the number of adult beds.
News of the diminished ICU capacity came as the state announced the deaths of 379 Californians, marking the highest number of fatalities in one day since the pandemic began and surpassing the previous record set the previous day.
The state reported another 52,281 new cases of the virus, just 1,400 cases less than what California saw the day prior.
If California were a country, here's how it would rank based on Johns Hopkins' COVID-19 Daily Case Counts for Dec. 16:
1) USA 247,403
2) Brazil 70,574
3) California 53,711
4) UK 25,161
5) India 24,010
6) France 17,720
7) Italy 17,568

2 strip clubs can stay open and set own COVID rules, California judge rules
Two San Diego strip clubs can remain open and make their own determinations about providing a safe environment for dancers and patrons during the pandemic, a judge ruled Wednesday. The decision dealt a setback to Gov. Gavin Newsom's health order that calls for such establishments to be shuttered.
The scope of San Diego Superior Court Judge Joel Wohlfeil's preliminary injunction appeared to extend far beyond the two clubs that sued the state to potentially all of the thousands of restaurants in San Diego County, the state's second-largest county after Los Angeles. On Wednesday night, Supervisor Jim Desmond tweeted that the judge "has directed the county to allow businesses with restaurant services to operate their business safely and responsibly."

SHAM SHOT? Hospital accused of FAKING a nurse’s coronavirus vaccine injection on TV after viewers claim syringe didn’t move (no doubt, syringe was never depressed)
A HOSPITAL has been accused of supplying a healthcare worker with a fake coronavirus vaccine by TV viewers who said the syringe didn't move during the jab.
Footage showed employees getting vaccinated at the University Medical Center of El Paso in Texas on Tuesday.
In the video, a person administers the vaccine on an unnamed healthcare worker who had his sleeve rolled up.
But it looks like the person giving the worker the vaccine does not push the syringe plunger – which already appears to be down.
“Some eagle-eyed KTSM 9 News viewers wondered if the worker received the vaccine at all,” KTSM wrote, adding that it reached out to the medical center to ask what happened.
“A spokesperson maintains that all five health care workers were given full doses of the vaccine; however, the hospital is taking a closer look at our video.”
