Despite there being very little to the story, and the allegations of Giuliani being involved in some kind of underage sex scandal, Twitter allowed the hoax to trend. This despite their attempts to not allow hoaxes on their platform—although that may just be for hoaxes that make Democrats look bad.




The interview was conducted by a woman who we now know to be Maria Bakalova, an actress posing as an interviewer. It was reported by Page Six in July that Bakalova asked a few basic questions before, as Giuliani stated, "This guy come running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit. It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn't what I would call distractingly attractive."
