I can't find any news on this though. I did find the PDF - https://www.broward.org/CoronaVirus/Documents/EmergencyOrder20-22.pdf
But weird that still no headlines, but mixed down in the order like that. They have a curfew there too.
Even if though, how the hell you think you're going to enforce this? And as if anyone will follow this IN their homes? I know I wouldn't.

These People Are Nuts: Broward County Officials Now Require Citizens Wear Masks WITHIN THEIR OWN HOMES
These people are insane.
Broward County officials issued an “emergency mandate” that citizens now wear masks IN THEIR HOMES!
The new mandate includes those who LIVE ALONE!
They want you to believe this is “science.”

nope.
I wear masks and encourage others to do so. But this one makes no sense either.
I wonder if this means 24x7? As in when they sleep?

I ain't wearing a mask in my house. I don't even wear one in the neighborhood when I go out running or walking. A mask kind of defeats the point to "getting some fresh air".
Broward County is Ft Lauderdale. Anymore, an extension of Miami. About 40 minutes north. doing 90 on the turnpike :) To the point, definitely a blue city and basically a huge retirement community. Don't expect much coming out of that place to make sense.

I'm not inclined to wear one at home, but...
People are more likely to contract COVID-19 at home, study finds (https://news.trust.org/item/20200721113713-a9lu2)
It's the people my wife encounters during the day that concern me. I'm not convinced, based on what she's said, that they are practicing proper protocols.

Fear and control moved to the next level.
Reaching into the home, to say -- ""Yes, even here we own you""..
No not me. I'll die first..
Either people stand up for freedom or we lose it.....
Just that damn simple..
Panic, fear , virus be damned..
I choose to be a man and stay a man, not some ffukking craven coward.
Enter my home to enslave me, I will defend myself and kill that invader no matter who it is or what group it represents..
I was not raised to be a blinded fool , nor a craven coward..
If they can do this -- they --OWN-- you....
Nobody owns me-- even if they kill me ... they then may own the corpse but never me....
There is a reason that I bought a home out here in these hills over 4 years ago....
If a choice must be made- I choose to live free or else die trying.
I choose to be a real American not some shallow imitation...--Tyr

Saul Alinski's Rule for Radicals - Socialists
1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.
2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.
8. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
(How the Democrats are using the Covid Virus to SCARE Americans while blaming Trump)
10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.
11. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.
13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Ran several errands yesterday. Took mask off every time I got in car. Can't tell you how many times had to walk back to get the dang thing! Got really light headed at Home Depot garden area because it was 106°....not enough oxygen.
Hate them!
However, I spend less time "window shopping". No more cruising down the aisle of Costco to see what's new. Got my list ... in and out.

Now that we've all been wearing face masks to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, some people say that wearing a mask is reducing their intake of oxygen—or forcing them to breathe in their own carbon dioxide. This leaves them feeling faint, light-headed, or "smothered." They're also concerned about how dangerous this is, and how less oxygen and more carbon dioxide might affect their health.
One driver who crashed his SUV into a pole in Lincoln Park, New Jersey, on April 23 actually blamed his collision on his mask. He told police he passed out because he’d been wearing an N95 mask for too long. Initially, the investigating officers believed him, writing in a Facebook post that he was the only person in the car and passed out due to “insufficient oxygen intake/excessive carbon dioxide intake.”

The post was shared more than 2,700 times and received hundreds of comments, with a few sharing their own experiences of feeling smothered by this type of mask. The police department later updated their post, stating that they didn’t know “with 100% certainty” that “excessive wearing” of an N95 mask was a contributing factor to the accident. They added that “it is certainly possible that some other medical reason could’ve contributed to the driver passing out.”

So is it possible that wearing a face mask as part of social distancing can cause someone to build up so much carbon dioxide and get so little oxygen that they pass out, or worse? Carbon dioxide is a natural by-product of the body’s respiration process, something we all breathe in and out every day. How harmful can it be?
In rare cases, it can actually be pretty dangerous, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). They say that inhaling high levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) may be life-threatening. Hypercapnia (carbon dioxide toxicity) can also cause headache, vertigo, double vision, inability to concentrate, tinnitus (hearing a noise, like a ringing or buzzing, that’s not caused by an outside source), seizures, or suffocation due to displacement of air.
But the emphasis here should be on high levels. “It has to be a pretty high concentration to be capable of causing harm,” Bill Carroll, PhD, an adjunct professor of chemistry at Indiana University, Bloomington, tells Health. “CO2 is present in the atmosphere at a level of about 0.04%. It is dangerous in an atmosphere when it is greater than about 10%.”
It’s also possible to have too little CO2. “This is when you exhale too fast or too often,” Dr. Carroll says. “If you hold your breath, you wind up with too much CO2. The core issue is that CO2 regulates the pH of the blood—too much CO2 and the blood becomes too acidic; too little and it becomes too basic (alkaline). In either case, your body detects the change in acidity and you pass out, which is the body’s way of saying, ‘please stop fooling with me and breathe normally.’”

When it comes to face masks, we know they’re not all made equally. The extent to which a mask could affect CO2 levels depends on what it’s made of, and how tightly it fits.
“If you put a plastic bag over your head and tie it tight around your neck, no coronavirus could get in, but neither could any oxygen and you would suffocate, so we obviously don’t recommend that,” says Carroll. “I think it’s highly unlikely that you would pass out from a lack of oxygen with a cloth mask, which generally doesn’t fit tightly to your face. When you exhale or inhale, air can go around the mask as well through the pores in the material. This is why a cloth mask does not absolutely protect you from inhaling the virus, but by disturbing your exhalation flow it tends to protect those around you from aerosols in your breath.”
Carroll doubts that any cloth face covering would ever fit against the face so tight that someone would pass out from a lack of oxygen. “You’d take it off because it’s uncomfortable well before that happens,” he says.
But what about the guy in the New Jersey car crash? He was wearing an N95 mask, after all, not just a regular cloth mask.
“Someone wearing an N95 mask for a prolonged period of time may have alterations in their blood chemistry that could lead to changes in level of consciousness if severe,” infectious disease expert Amesh A. Adalja, MD, senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in Maryland, tells Health. But it’s most likely to happen to those who are already predisposed to breathing difficulties, such as smoker, obese people, or individuals with COPD or emphysema."

That's me mostly. Carry several in my truck and a pile by my keys to remember if I need to refill. I also have the disinfectant wipes and purell in my truck. I forget until I get to the door of most places and remember, or reminded when seeing others walking in with them on. And when returning to truck, a quick wipe down of the wheel, shifter and window area, and then my hands. Repeat each time. Got it down to about 20-30 seconds now! And I don't go anywhere where I may have to wear one for longer than a few minutes. So not really a lot at the end of the day. But now, if I HAVE to go somewhere that I am nervous about, I just don't go! LOL Nah, then I put on a much better mask just in case. Admittedly much warmer to the wearer and definitely harder to breath.
They make cloth masks that are easier to breath with and also come with the breathing valve. Very little protection and good for general use. And then a 3m N95 mask with the breathing valve - OR you can get a cooling mask - only really a "gaiter"/headband/mask/many uses. They are the cloths that you wet and they stay cool.
Great because this kind IS much cooler and allows you to meet the law. https://www.amazon.com/Mission-Multi-Cool-Multifunctional-Gaiter-Headwear/dp/B00UR4HHC8/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=cooling+face+mask&qid=1595440832&sr=8-5

I recall a story from last month or a few months ago, where a driver crashed after falling asleep at the wheel, supposedly from wearing his mask for a long time.
I honestly never knew much about long term use of them. I never intended myself and still don't. But from a doctors perspective, or anyone really that will use it for such long times, should be aware of this. But for short term use when someone must, I don't think they are problematic. But even to meet laws in states, to avoid this folks can/should wear a cloth mask where they can breath so much better. Many options to choose from in order to avoid using an N95 in many settings.
I'm with you, I know the democrats will do anything to increase numbers, lie about numbers and/or live and breath fear tactics. The same as the MSM. Regardless of this virus out there and how infectious and deadly it is, they will make it worse and blame Trump. I have zero doubt about this. Some have been busted lying, the largest hypocrites in the world, places busted lying, then 'false positives' more and more, folks who died of other reasons added to death toll.... on and on...
With that said, I still believe there is very infectious virus out there and it's deaths are there. In every state and it's traveling around and I also believe that next we may see it go back to prior hit areas. Now add in the endless lies, and then the endless hypocrisy and endless contradiction, and American is left asking WTF? and not knowing what to do about many things. "Do NOT buy masks" and then that same person WANTS us to wear masks and states "I’m pleading with your viewers, I’m begging you" in order to now wear them.
So in many places like my state folks HAVE to wear one no matter their feelings. And then folks like me know a shit ton is lies, but want to ensure my safety and others no matter what. And while I wear one out of law/necessity and for my own health choices - I'm also out there and not afraid to keep others aware of the Democrat lies and MSM lies. Then again, I'm in NY, so...
