President Trump Commutes Roger Stone’s Sentence

UPDATED 7:00 PM PT —Friday, July 10, 2020President Trump has commuted the sentence of his former political adviser Roger Stone (https://www.oann.com/roger-stone-files-appeal-to-delay-prison-sentence/). Friday’s announcement came just days before he was set to report to prison.
The White House confirmed the news in a press release.
“Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive grant of clemency commuting the unjust sentence of Roger Stone, Jr.,” Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wrote. “Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia hoax that the left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump presidency.”

One America’s Jack Posobiec also confirmed the news and said Stone is planning to “continue to fight his case in the appeals court, and also do whatever he can to support the full exoneration of General Flynn.”

The president hinted at a possible lifeline for Stone in a series of interviews over the past 24 hours.
Stone was originally convicted of lying to Congress and witness tampering in connection with Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
The president’s allies have repeatedly urged him to pardon or grant clemency for Stone since the end of his trial, citing his risk of contracting coronavirus while behind bars.

He was convicted by a jury for lying to congress to cover for Trump. Stone yesterday sent a tweet saying essentially he'd keep talking to investigators if he didn't get a commutation. Where is your law and order now?

Another serious question for you, Pete. Since you don't like seeing lies in congress - why didn't you and why don't you still ever speak out against folks like Adam Schiff, who lies to congress and the American people all the dang time? In an impeachment trial he lied to all of the above. And also told Americans he had proof in his possession of Russian collusion with Trump - you know, the things they were trying to set him up with. So many democrats busted in this process, and so many lied through their teeth to congress.

The political lies about Trump /Russian collusion is what drove the Congressional inquires and public demand for the scalp of anyone associated with Trump. Democrats across the board hammered on the lies for years.

Stone was convicted of obstructing Congress' investigation of something that the Dems lied weekly that they had "evidence in plain sight" of events and actions that DID NOT OCCUR . . . Now we know they knew they did not occur and that they said so under oath (which Schiff kept under lock and key in the Democrat hoax vault until Grenell pried it loose).
