Damn, times have changed! This was on television back then of course. And today? Hell, never mind the thought of it NEVER being near a television set - but if someone so much as even whiffed at this on their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... Their life would be destroyed. Career ending. Social accounts bombarded and then likely banned. Fear of danger at ones home, if not fully ostracized and unwelcome within their own community. Likely the same for the writer and producer of any show like that today. And then the station that dared broadcast such a thing.

Funny thing is, I laughed my ass off at this show growing up and since. Folks like Sammy participated willingly knowing the comedy behind it and that Archie is being exposed at times for being a little nutty. Ok, a lot at times. Oh, and meathead was a meathead with his liberal views. He still is, and is now Commander Liberal of all social media. :rolleyes:
