Well who is gonna stop China? Seems trump has his hands tied around his back because the left prefers Xi to him. Can't be xenophobic and racist and hold china accountable.We don't have a mutual defense agreement with India. Because, IMO, India is smart. However, should push come to shove, India has the one thing we lack in a war against China -- manpower. Their manpower and US weapons technology would indeed be a formidable opponent for anyone to deal with.

India's and the US's ideologies are worlds away from each other though.
