I can't help feeling for the 2020 graduates that missed nearly 1/2 a year of graduation year. It's sort of hard to remember how much it meant to kids that enjoyed high school.

My youngest had his regular high school pics taken in the fall, when he saw them in the spring, "No way!" The thing is he ran X-Country and they went All-State and won. The team had said in their jr. year, 'No haircuts until we get to State!' Which meant he had a large afro for his senior pics. After seeing them, "Mom, I HAVE to get pics done privately." He did. He sure was young:

Time for some twisted, Gunny humor :) : IF, when I graduated, you told me we were going to put on masks and do a drive by .... it didn't mean then what it means now

That's how my oldest granddaughter graduated 5th grade. Decorated mom's car and everything. Improvise, adapt and overcome :)

Very happy that I graduated last year. Not having prom or graduation would have been miserable.

My youngest now has his wife, my daughter-in-law, who is wonderful, if a bit liberal. (I understated that!) ;) They are the proud parents of the youngest grandchild!

It's been a hard year on 2 of my grandkids.

Grandaughter turned 21 on March 30th. Big party planned for months for Vegas. Didn't happen.

Grandson turned 18 on May 7th. Big blow out party planned for months. Didn't happen.

Grandson graduated high school this year. Had a drive through graduation but the parade was over 600 cars and only immediate family. Didn't get to go see him. And he missed all the senior activities. He'll be the only one for generations that didn't get to do Senior Ditch Day!

It's so sad. Some schools want to try to 'put something together' down the road, but for most that would be too late and too off. College, work, etc., would be their lives by that time.

Yep. Said something might happen in July. Will be way too hot for outdoor graduation so we'll see how that goes over. Plus, monsoon season.
