They aren’t anarchists. They’re leftists. They don’t seek to end the mechanisms of rule. They seek to seize them.
This guy infiltrated one of the riots to get first hand experience and info about how the riots just blew up out of nowhere. This is a good read and should give you chills, make you angry and sick to your stomach. Glad to see ANTIFA declared terrorists. Now, to find out who is funding them.

Soros & Co have always been identified. I think China is in on the action now.
Too much confluence of events. I’ve thought so since these riots started and said so.

Susan Rice says Russians.
Susan Rice Blames ‘Foreign Actors’ for Stirring George Floyd Protests: ‘Right Out of the Russian Playbook
Former Obama adviser Susan Rice has blamed the violent protests that rocked major American cities over the weekend on “foreign actors,” and even suggested that Russia could be involved in stirring them up.
“I’m not reading the intelligence today, or these days — but based on my experience, this is right out of the Russian playbook,” Rice, who served as national-security adviser to president Obama, said in a CNN interview on Sunday. “But we cannot allow the extremists, the foreign actors, to distract from the real problems we have in this country that are longstanding, centuries old, and need to be addressed responsibly.”
Anchor Wolf Blitzer responded, “you’re absolutely right on the foreign interference.” Blitzer then asked Rice if she thought the Russians were attempting to “embarrass” the U.S. by “promoting the racial divide in our country.”
“Well we see it all the time, we’ve seen it for years, including on social media where they take any divisive, painful issue . . . and they play on both sides,” Rice said. “I would not be surprised to learn that they have fomented some of these extremists on both sides on social media . . . [or] that they’re funding it in some way, shape, or form.”
Meanwhile, current national-security adviser Robert O’Brien on Sunday pointed to a number of countries that were attempting to foment unrest via social media. Chief among those countries is China, however O’Brien also mentioned Iran, Russia, and Zimbabwe as possibly using social media to enflame tensions in the U.S.
The protests were sparked by the death of Minneapolis, Minn., resident George Floyd during his arrest on May 25 by former officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin, who is white, has since been charged with third-degree murder in the death of Floyd, who is African American.
Pressed by @GStephanopoulos (https://twitter.com/GStephanopoulos?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) on evidence that foreign adversaries are exploiting U.S. unrest, O’Brien points to social media activity from China “coming straight from the government.”
He also names Zimbabwe, Iran and says “there may be Russian activists.” https://t.co/8NuFvYRECl pic.twitter.com/nApMWEuMfs (https://t.co/nApMWEuMfs)

Who’s Causing America’s Nervous Breakdown?
Roger L. Simon
June 2, 2020 Updated: June 2, 2020
Commentary
Don’t think we’re having a nervous breakdown? When can you remember two New York corporate lawyers tossing a Molotov cocktail into a cop car?
Or how about the city executives of Santa Monica, warned via social media that their many trendy shops and upscale restaurants were about to be looted en masse the day after similar actions had already occurred, doing nothing as millions, perhaps billions, of damage was done to one of the wealthiest parts of our country?
That pattern was repeated throughout the land in areas rich and poor as liberal mayors and governors demonstrated what I suppose we could call their “liberalism.”
How far would it go? Would they allow their daughters to be absconded for the good of the cause? It’s hard to know because several of those daughters had already joined Antifa.
As for the media, they’re doing their best to deny what’s happening and blaming Trump when they can’t. What else is new?
The mysteries in all this are who’s behind it and where will it end?
The latter was ironically answered for us by the Ancient Romans who at some point must have stomped their sandals on the ground and declared regarding civilizations that had come before, “Non fiunt.” “It can’t happen here,” in Latin. (I’ll leave it there.)
Police Killings
As for who’s behind it, of course, it’s caused superficially by the murder of George Floyd—whether by asphyxiation or a combination of what we have recently learned are called co-morbidities—is ultimately irrelevant.
But his death is what the shrinks term the “presenting complaint” because the real causes are more complex and much deeper.
Besides, there’s a Big Lie attached to Floyd’s murder at the hands of the police and that lie—call me a racist, if you will—is that such things are a common occurrence. They decidedly are not, as Jason Riley, the African American columnist for the Wall Street Journal, reminded us the other night. In fact, it’s the reverse. It’s quite rare and increasingly so. The facts bear him out.
Last July, Heather Mac Donald wrote in “There Is No Epidemic of Racist Police Shootings”:
“A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences demolishes the Democratic narrative regarding race and police shootings, which holds that white officers are engaged in an epidemic of racially biased shootings of black men. It turns out that white officers are no more likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot black civilians. … In fact, if there is a bias in police shootings after crime rates are taken into account, it is against white civilians, the study found.”
Oh, no. That can’t be—except, as anyone paying attention knows, for the last decade at least police have spent more time in sensitivity training than in learning how to shoot. “Community Policing” has been the watchword of the day since 1994 (actually considerably before) when the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act established the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS).
Perhaps the Minneapolis force needs a refresher course but basically they were victims of the old rotten apples syndrome that, in the grand scheme of things, is always hard to avoid anywhere, although we should try.
Also, as most people interested know, black on black killings outnumber police (black, white, or Hispanic) on black killings somewhere in the vicinity of ten to one. If you’re really interested in the welfare of our black population, why aren’t you paying more attention to that? (There apparently is little profit in it, just as there appears to be little profit in reversing the precipitous decline in the black family.)
Communist Groups
Meanwhile, neat, construction-size stacks of fresh bricks that could only have been expensively trucked in are appearing on street corners and in alleys everywhere close to protest sites, ready to be utilized as darkness falls. (Some disturbing examples are currently available on ZeroHedge.) Who’s paying for that? Is it Antifa? Who’s financing Antifa?
Also available at the same ZeroHedge link is a fascinating video shot by a black woman near LA’s Farmers Market where two white and Asian seeming Antifa operatives are graffitiing “BLM” (Black Lives Matter) on a Starbucks. The black woman tells them they are actually hurting black people by their actions when the Antifa pair start to tell her what’s best for black people. Go figure. Or better, go Marxist.
According to a friend who has been researching a book on the subject, there are several dozen branches of Antifa in this country at various levels of the clandestine. They claim to be anarchist but they work behind the scenes with By Any Means Necessary or BAMN (more or less Trotskyite), Refuse Fascism (formed out of the remnants of the Revolutionary Communist Party and with a Maoist tilt) and a surprising number of other groups of similar ilk, including the Revolutionary Student Front (Austin) and the Democratic Socialists of America.
The latter, once genuinely democratic under its founder Michael Harrington, is, my friend told me, going progressively hardline and anti-democratic (as Antifa has been for a long time) and now has as many as two hundred thousand members.
In all, the numbers for Antifa and Co. on the left completely dwarf those for the dwindling white supremacists, although that’s news to Governor Walz of Minnesota who thinks, or did anyway until he was disabused, that such supremacists are responsible for the violence in his city. (Undoubtedly he wishes they were.)
He and a host of others should get a clue before it’s too late. Maybe it already is.
And it’s just not the reactionary liberals of our culture who need to wise up fast. Many on the right got on their high horse when Trump said he was going to declare Antifa a domestic terror organization, saying that was legally impossible. That was only for foreign groups like ISIS.
Besides the fact that Antifa is global and started in Europe, in this instance at least, so what? Trump’s declaration was a way of dramatizing the imperative that they must be stopped. And indeed they must. His critics vitiated this in their pomposity.
As for where the group gets its money, there are undoubtedly many cutouts. But I have two suggestions to offer up: George Soros and the Chinese Communist Party. There are probably others.

ANTIFA is only a natural reflection of our failed government, culture, and society. Any healthy society would of course immediately reject ANTIFA, but not only is our society sick in too may ways, but our very own government is out to destroy us; therefore, ANTIFA cannot be any worse than the current status quo.

Didn’t we already get an exposé of extreme action and militancy from Antifa by Project Veritas this year? Oh no, wait — that was from among Bernie Sanders’ campaign workers (https://hotair.com/archives/ed-morrissey/2020/01/29/extreme-action-militancy-another-peek-sanders-south-carolina-campaign/). At least they’re keeping busy these days.
This time, Project Veritas really has infiltrated Antifa (https://www.projectveritas.com/news/antifa-practice-things-like-an-eye-gouge-it-takes-very-little-pressure-to/), or at least one of its cells in Oregon. Their undercover operative managed to get some video and audio of training sessions in which extremists were urged to gouge people’s eyes, assault them and to “consider like destroying your enemy.” The operative has since “retired” from Rose City Antifa, the video notes at the end, but he’s still doing “blacklock” to keep his identity hidden:
Nicholas Cifuni, Rose City Antifa: “Practice Things Like an Eye Gouge, it Takes Very Little Pressure to Injure Someone’s Eyes.”
Nicholas Cifuni, Rose City Antifa: “Police Are Going to Be Like: ‘Perfect, We Can Prosecute These [Antifa] F**kers, Look How Violent They Are.’ And Not That We [Antifa] Aren’t, But We Need to F**king Hide That Sh*t.”
Nicholas Cifuni, Rose City Antifa: “Consider Like, Destroying Your Enemy. Not Like Delivering a Really Awesome Right Hand, Right Eye, Left Eye Blow You Know. It’s Not Boxing, It’s Not Kickboxing, It’s Like Destroying Your Enemy.”
Ashes, Rose City Antifa: “The Whole Goal of This, Right, is to Get Out There and do Dangerous Things as Safely as Possible.”
For an organization that’s supposedly not organized, their op-sec is … pretty impressive. The meetings apparently manage to mostly protect identities, so Nicholas Cifuni might have some griping to do after this video release. Or perhaps he might have some talking to do, either to the FBI or to his attorney. Someone in law enforcement is bound to take an interest in this tape, and perhaps in determining the identities of a few others who appear in it. At any rate, it’s clear that the group is organized enough for strategic planning sessions and training, and like PV’s undercover operative says, this suggests some money behind the organizing, too.
Unlike other PV projects, it doesn’t appear that they have more in the can on Antifa. That may not matter long, however, because the Department of Justice has now started to look into their involvement in the unrest sweeping cities this week:

Wray says the feds are pursuing "anarchists like Antifa and other agitators"
9:50 AM - Jun 4, 2020 (https://twitter.com/woodruffbets/status/1268585999313092611)
For the past couple of weeks, there have been plenty of people trying to deny any real organization behind Antifa and even their involvement in rioting, despite a long history of violent street action across the country. In the Twin Cities (https://hotair.com/archives/ed-morrissey/2020/06/03/riot-charges-mn-sure-look-local-leftist/), our leadership tried pinning it on “white supremacists” from outside of the state, only to end up with egg on their faces (https://www.startribune.com/officials-back-off-after-first-blaming-outsiders-extremists-for-twin-cities-violence/570906572/%3Frefresh%3Dtrue) when the data from arrests started coming to light (https://www.startribune.com/charges-minnesotans-drove-plateless-car-carried-guns-and-hammer-during-george-floyd-protest/570969152/?refresh=true). Even the SPLC ended up calling shenanigans on that claim (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/31/us/george-floyd-protests-white-supremacists-antifa.html?smid=tw-share). The DoJ’s focus on anarchists and Antifa will likely have a lot more success than attempts to shift the blame away from the extreme-leftist orgs that routinely conduct such operations, only not to this level of success.

ANTIFA is only a natural reflection of our failed government, culture, and society. Any healthy society would of course immediately reject ANTIFA, but not only is our society sick in too may ways, but our very own government is out to destroy us; therefore, ANTIFA cannot be any worse than the current status quo.
How much stupid can you pack into one post?
“ANTIFA is only a natural reflection of our failed government .... “ No, it’s not. ANTIFA is a militant far left group that is likely funded by outside sources that seek to overthrow our system of government. Quit blaming the United States for Fascist Pigs who attack innocent and unarmed people.
What about our government, culture, and society has failed? We have the highest standard of living not only in the world but in history. We are the most charitable nation on the planet.
Let’s look at Communist countries. They keep their people in destitution while their leaders are billionaires. Talk about income disparity. Communist China is one of the most racist governments on the planet. Think Tibet and what they’ve done there. Communist countries are responsible for more deaths than Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito combined.
“ANTIFA can’t be worse than the status quo” —- Really? Did you or anyone you know have the crap beaten out of you by them? I wonder how you’d feel then. See what they did to the reporter Andy Ngo. You sound just like the average German in the 1930s who supported Adolf Hitler. The “status quo” is free elections, private property rights, the Bill Of Rights. ANTIFA stands for anarchy, violence, and a totalitarian form of government.
Despite all this, members of ANTIFA when they are arrested still have a right to a trial at the public’s expense... which is more than they deserve.
Failed government indeed.... why don’t you spend some time in North Korea to see what ANTIFA is really all about

How is Antifa different from the Proud Boys or other white supremacist groups? It's just hate from different points of view.

I suppose for a start what stands out the most is the lack of support for racists and those seeking violence to demonstrate their 'strength and righteousness.' Those groups are only self applauding, you don't hear support for them from any demographics or political partisans. Only the left trying to hitch them to the right. It doesn't work because they have no support-neither verbal or financial.
Not so with the anarchists. Put on the news, the talk of the day? Defund the police. Which comes down to 'no police.' Right on the heels of more than a week of destruction of cities-both wealthy and poor areas-across the country.
You may think that no government or authority would be a great thing, then everyone would get along. No money, no rules. Take a look at the middle ages, whoops, you'll have to search, they don't teach that much anymore or what took the world in a different direction.

Of course there are, you remind me of someone. Even in the education realm there are those that hate on the left and right, working at indoctrinating the young. Both are wrong.

Indoctrination only works on the weak minded. It is possible to sit in the middle and learn from both sides. Not just in politics, but in religion as well.
Similarities are often intentional. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Teachers are not meant to indoctrinate, but to teach subject matter in ways that the youth can demonstrate enough mastery to apply to their lives. They are not 'weak minded' but young. They don't have the base of knowledge to apply filters, indeed they are in school to gain that base of knowledge. Won't be this year, there is already the movement to make all subjects fit into the racism inherent and for white students, their privilege. Doesn't matter if those kids are in foster care or other dangerous situations, the pigmentation of their skin is enough. I'm sure this will lead to harmony and peace.

You know ... reading the posts about China.... the anti war movement in the 60s got its funding from the North Vietnamese Communist Party
I'm probably splitting hairs here, but the '60s anti-war movement was a KGB operation that was successful beyond their wildest dreams.
I can't remember his name now, but we received a high ranking KGB Russian defector who was involved in it. They funded it and helped plan & coordinate until the hippies got the hang of things. The Russians referred to them as 'Useful Idiots'.
Turning citizens against their own country is an amazing feat and remarkably effective to cripple said country.
I don't doubt that China is involved in this chaos today. And that's an outright Act of War if our alphabet agencies can prove it.

Yup. Saw a poll that said 52% were in favor of Trump’s plan to send in the military. I’d say a far bigger majority are for traditional forms of law and order.

It depends on what generation you are a part. In the internet era, the more you explore, the larger your base of knowledge becomes. Racism is more inherent in past generations due to greater segregation. It also depends on your upbringing. If you grew up in a racial and religious tolerant family, you learn that everyone is the same. If you teach your kids hate and prejudice, that is what they learn.

The more you learn from the internet, the more you become politically indoctrinated.
I know you claimed to not recall being indoctrinated and that's because you shouldn't. When you figure out that you ARE, you quit listening and think for yourself. You are indoctrinated by the society in which you are born from birth.
The internet makes children dumb and not think for themselves. Handy tool for those that want them thinking a certain way.
At some point, what you teach your children doesn't matter worth a damn because society and its indoctrination centers we label public schools are waiting to ensure they hate they "hate" the right things. Which, is my double entendre for the day since it DOES teach you to hate the right things. See what-all you can learn from the internet?

I respect your right and Gunny's right to hold a different opinion. If you grew up 50 or 60 years ago, your upbringing is different than it would be now. The older you are, the less tolerant you are. Because you have had a long time to formulate your opinion.
The internet generation remains influenced by their parents. It just depends on how much quality time parents choose to spend. When you come home from your job, do you spend time with your kids, or do you tell them you will "do it later?" Do you encourage your kids to seek answers on their own, or do you tell them what you want them to know and then cut it off?
I don't understand the hate for masks and the lack of caution toward Covid-19. Many disregard it because the death rate is only 1.5 percent. As opposed to Swine Flu where the death rate was close to 50 percent. The difference is that Covid-19 is more infectious and spreads a lot easier. Look at what happened in Italy. They are very social and enjoy large gatherings. You only needed a few carries to infect thousands.
If you had an immune deficiency disorder, you would not look at things so lightly. Covid-19 attacks the weakest cells. If your body is unable to fight it, the virus takes over and kills you. If you got Covid-19, you could likely fight it off. I would die. Which is why I wear a mask during the few times I go outside.

I am not saying that all young people are tolerant. Just like I am not saying that all older people are intolerant.
Once again, it goes back to how you were raised. If your parents taught you that all are equal and stood by that, you become comfortable with everyone. It also depends on how you choose your friends and who you are influenced.
Hatred and prejudice is not inherent. It is a learned trait. It is how you choose to think and feel.

If I had school aged kids in AZ, there is no way they'd attend the public schools here. Teaching is near impossible, even for seasoned teachers that have been in the district for years. For 'out of college' teachers, they nearly all leave, some before finishing their first year.
I considered it a 'success' that I got through that one year, no way would I renew the contract. Seriously, working at Walmart is a step up. I feel bad only when the kids that were good, come visit me now. One of my favorites came in the other day, Wyatt asked me if I wouldn't try teaching in the high school. Gave him a hug and nope.

I don't have prejudices against older people. Where did you get that idea from? The schools I went to were not failing and were not dangerous. Public schools fail because people give up on them. Schools that need improvements are forced to seek bonds from taxpayers. If citizens refuse to fund their schools, they fail. The failure is on the adults, not the kids. Security is also in the hands of adults. We are past the time when teachers and administrators ruled through fear and intimidation. The best teachers and administrators engage with students. If schools are not properly funded, they don't have the programs and activities to keep students interested. If your schools are failing and dangerous, it is the fault of the community.

But that was a fascinating story, thanks! I hadn't read about this guy before. My theory is that he had a change of heart and our CIA spooks didn't realize that he was very alone here and should have done more to kind of settle him in. And I'll bet he's had a very rough life after returning.
