Talking about defending yourself and family. This is where I received my training. Not in military but by a former military person named Ryan Lovato. Adaptive Firearms Institute in Tucson.

It's not an indoor range. Pretty intense.

First lessons were with a group called Ladies First and training for CC.

Then joined Well Armed Woman and did outdoor range shooting with indoor lessons.

Felt I needed more intense training so went to AFI. They are really good trainers. The only ones that made you learn to shoot while running, falling down and shooting from prone posting on back, etc. Under pressure taught us how to unjam, reload, draw from holster, etc.
