Los Angeles authorities could shut down water and power to nonessential businesses that refuse to close amid the coronavirus outbreak there, according to local reports.


“We won’t tolerate the selfish behavior of a few who unnecessarily put our community at risk,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a press release on his website.


He also said his “Safer at Home” emergency shelter-in-place order would be strictly enforced.

The order requires LA residents to stay at home except for in a number of situations, including to get food, health or medical necessities -- as well as to care for children or adult relatives, friends and people with disabilities, according to the mayor’s office.


Nonessential businesses include bars, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling alleys, salons and gyms.

Our liberal public school systems beats it out of them-except the very stubborn few and the ones whose parents actively reverse that liberal indoctrination, imho.
First thing I and my 6 brothers were taught as very young boys-- was that a man stands his ground !- come hell or high water!
Here in the South of the 50's/60's that was taught as a matter of course.
Now from what I see it is---NOT TAUGHT-- as a matter of course- in fact the opposite is being taught.
I myself have the scars on me to prove that I have never let my father down in that teaching.
What scars do these video gaming kids and young adults have now? Vast majority have none.... A pity-that...
What do they face to toughen them up?? Most nothing....
What hard labor do they do as kids-as teenagers-- next to nothing.
Those that go through military training(especially the Marine Corps) are blessed to finally be taught some of that and also get the discipline that most never got from their parents..--Tyr

Yeah okay tough guy, the Civil War wasn't fought because people "stood their ground" it was fought because people had other people "stand their ground" most of those who were doing the actual fighting on BOTH sides couldn't have given a shit less what the war was over.

It's funny that the Civil War began at least in part because Democrats wanted black people to count towards representation in the House but remain the property of white guys, and what do we see today? Democrats using blacks for votes while attempting to keep them in slavery.
