Former Vice President Al Gore has accepted an invitation to testify next month in a congressional hearing on the highly controversial issue of climate change.

Did he get time off from his television circuit ? He's pretty funny as long as I can think he's not running anything that affects me.

and what exactly can he testify to? He isnt a scientists. He hasn't done any tests himself. There is nothing he has witnessed that could possibly relevant to this debate. Simply because he has annointed himself the global warming spokesman doesnt mean he has any sort of first hand information on it. All he could possibly offer is hearsay.
Granted, this is a Congressional hearing and not a court of law, but why on earth should Congress waste time listening to a "witness" that has no first hand information on the subject?
