But, listening to all of them, and Bernie. I decided to share this with all of you, as a means you may like to use to explain what Socialism would look like...in Layman's terms. If you don't mind.

Please bear with me.

I'm talking like Bernie here. You go out and work 40 hours a week at 15 bucks an hour.
You give BERNIE (the government) 50% of what you earned in taxes, and you are forced to give your neighbor 50% of what you have left from that week. Forced, because he's unemployed, has bills, likes to eat, and pay the mortgage.
Then you go to the hospital for an emergency. BERNIES FREE medical care takes 25% of your 50% that you brought home which leaves you 25%.
Now...you go to Bernie and ask for Food Stamps, and WELFARE because you can't live on that 25%. Your hospital bill is paid for by your neighbor with the 50% you gave him, so he gives 50% of what you gave him to the Health Care system, with 50% of that paying for your Food Stamps, and Welfare.
But Bernie isn't done. He wants you to stop using all forms of oil. Telling you to use a bicycle to go to work that is three hours away by car. So BERNIE forces you to buy an electric car that gets charged with power from an oil or coal burning plant. The cost of the car exceeds what you can afford, so it gets reposessed, and you now have NO WAY TO GET TO YOUR JOB, which means YOU CAN'T AFFORD ANYTHING. THAT is SOCIALISM.
Now ask yourself. HOW MUCH DO I HAVE LEFT OF MY PAYCHECK?

You won't ever get a paycheck....you'll get an ID card/chip that gives you access to all your "needs" (as determined by socialist government) and then tells you what amount you have credited to your name for discretionary use .... which will be nothing.

People who wave their phones at cashiers to pay for things are already acclimated to not ever touching their money.
